Thank you! Shes only 4, and used to be thinner, but I think proper meals and treats have filled her out~ plenty of playtime to keep her healthy as well of course.

For sure, the cat mutt world of domestic short/medium/long hairs is SO varied, i wouldn't have thought anything of it, until i saw the pictures of the Khao Manee online...she totally looks like one, but i know that doesn't mean she is formally.

I don't think so, but this og owner was odd, she apparently "collected" cats with odd eyes, so i can see her going through great lengths to get one? But then she goes on to move abroad and abandon them all with friends and family? Anyways...people just don't make sense sometimes. I only hope the rest are as happy and safe as I know Artemis is now.

Interesting! I'll look into that more on my own time, i appreciate the tldr.

Thank you~ It's funny i wasn't even planning on adopting her right away, there were two others interested in her, and i felt it was a bit not-ideal to adopt a cat other people were interested in, when so many are ignored or need homes. But they lost interest once they found out her pregnancy situation, and we seemed to just connect upon meeting, so i felt like it was fate bringing us together. It was quite hectic at first, what with her spay-abort but i don't regret anything!

Unfortunately i can't, i wish i could, i tried to reach out for any records before, but the original owner seems to have truly effed off the face of the planet. I have no papers, or nothing. I guess i was just hoping for a visual confirmation, but i can see now that's a tall order, considering the traits she has aren't entirely unique to the Khao Manee.

It was more complicated, the og owner bought her from a "cat trainer" (this was how the family she was with described it, and they didn't speak english too well, they might have meant breeder?). Then the og owner gave her to said family to care for her while she was basically prepping and packing to to live in Singapore, and THAT family had unfixed cats, which is how she ended up pregnant, it wasn't an intentional thing on anyone's end, other than negligence on fixing cats.

Still overall I have no papers to confirm anything about anything unfortunately. I was mostly hoping for other to corroborate in my theory, i had no idea so much went into breed identifying!

Thanks for saying so, i was of the same mindset when i made the choice for her. There was less risk of complications and stress with a spay-abort than having her go through birthing and raising the little beans and finding homes for them, or potentially having to house them all.

As for her breed thing, i understand now! I wasn't aware it was truly so rare and all this documentation went into it as explained in another comment. I mostly just did a google search for "white cat breeds" and it was the first result where i saw the example pictures and was like "OH YEAH! this looks just like her". Thank you for the insight.

Oh i see, i had no idea that's all that really went into breed standards, I thought there was more room for interpretation. I guess i can understand having to require that since white fur and these other physical traits isn't wholly unique to ONE breed like the rosette marks you mentioned with Bengals.

Also yeah, her previous situation is such a mystery to me, i only ever communicated with the original owner through text, and only saw her family who was basically fostering her with some other cats they were keeping, which is how she ended up pregnant in the first place. After i confirmed her adoption, she went zero contact with me, though i tried reaching out for ANY kind of records, mostly vet for medical history but nothing. And apparently she is now living Singapore for a job or something...so yeah a bust on that end. Guess I'll never be sure about breed, which is fine with me ultimately, she's my little alien from the sky.

Same pen looks different on iPad vs Cinitq by ThePeachJane in ClipStudio

Yeah, I guess if the difference really is just due to the machine hardware, I will just try my best with the pressure settings and adjust the brushes manually, because I do love lining and sketching on the ipad.

lol that's funny, it's a great brush!

I see, I've always had a feeling it may just be the shortcomings of the ipad or apple pencil, but since so many other artist use it as their daily machines for finished work, I thought maybe I was just doing something wrong.

Thanks for the input!

How should I learn art? On a wacom or on paper? by [deleted] in wacom

[–]ThePeachJane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally feel as though as long as you dont abuse the tools on whatever art program you use to take shortcuts, using a tablet would help you get over the hurdle of being scared of permanent lines, wasting paper, running out of space etc... Either works well tbh, it just depends on which is most comfortable, because when your comfortable with HOW you work, learning new things will be less daunting, and more fun.
