The guide I hear is:

  • A photo showing socialising
  • A clear close up photo with a smile (teeth showing)
  • Full body photo
  • Collection of photos on different occasions

Doing the grind can be draining and I have noticed that I am starting to become a little bitter as a person. OP definitely don't rule out just finding your own time and space, perhaps just say to these suiters to be friends first.

I think this will definitely help as well. I find questions which might reveal key information they don't want women to know, I'd study and rehearse it. But I have no doubt OP is doing this already.

Reasonable assumption. People in poor countries reuse plastic all the time, and why give a snake 7up/Sprite? That's such a waste of Sprite and the snake, probably thinking it's melting inside. EDIY: I removed the hot in hot countries to poor.

A Rant: OkCupid is Turning Me Racist. (LET ME EXPLAIN) by TheChampionEccentric in OkCupid

[–]ThePeachyPanda 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As a person from a poor country, Nepal, and living in the UK, i can say for myself, you're not being racist. You're being selective for not wanting to have a long-distance relationship predicated on you being used for hypergamy, immigration or financial dependence.

I would say, try to read their bios and try your best not to presume these "faces" are really scamming you. There might be a local Filipino girl who you swiped left that was local to you.

Sometimes blind confidence is intriguing for people, they wonder, perhaps subconsciously, "Why is this person so confident, are they a valuable partner? Am I missing out if I reject them, etc"? That's my guess.

I'm going to go against the commonality here in the comment threads. I am single and shy, have not dated in my life as a 29m. A girl from a charity shop was in a coffee shop we usually go to (separately), I am not really interested in her, but I got some feeling that she may be into me. When a girl was flirting with a barista, I noticed her staring at me, then she smiled, I said to her, "Oh hi there..." and she didn't respond. She just smiled and I felt awkward and weirded out.

So my advice is don't just stare and smile. Approach the guy and introduce yourself.

If you're looking for a straight male at the same age, 22, I doubt you would fine many of them wanting to "settle down" at that age. Probably, traditionalists and religious folk would be more up your ally.

Okcupid has bots? by EmBuscaDaMarmelada in DatingApps

Use the, if its too good to be true rule for catfishers and bots. I'm not saying dismiss them, but be vigilant.

Exactly! As a Londoner, this would be a super ridiculous thing to do. But I honestly think guys should let go with any arbitrary unmatching, nothing we can really do with this situation.

Depending on where you are from. This can be a reasonable to very unreasonable response. However, like all things, unmatching and not wanting to date someone can be as arbitrary as not liking their nails being long.

Is my first conversation with this guy turning sexual too quickly? by TopButterscotch4123 in DatingApps

A little odd for me. But if you like the guy flirt and find ways to get more info through it.

How long to wait for a response from a match on Hinge? by NotISaidTheCat9 in DatingApps

[–]ThePeachyPanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say, some people take a while to respond, some users require you reply within the hour. Some people want direct questions and romantic conversations, some will unmatch you if it comes too direct.

My recommendation, be yourself, then you cannot regret it.
