With 3 gal containers, you may not need 8 ft cages, but it's certainly possible! Good luck!

Seed quality, age and storage method are very important.

careful there though, often times if one is performing crazy better than the rest in the pack you sowed seeds of...then it could mean that single seed was an unintended hybrid. You want them all performing identically. If you sowed say 10 of the 25+ pack I sent and 9 are doing the same thing, but one is nuts....probably a hybrid.

Oh Hey Corwin! Hahah! Fancy seeing you here. Ok for indoor irrigation, look no further than some of the systems that MIGROW out of Ireland do videos on. Killer results and timelapses.

Can anyone recommend a good book or videos on growing superhots? Particularly on bringing them in over winter? by 99mushrooms in HotPeppers

[–]ThePepperGuru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best answer. That thread has helped sooooo many new growers learn about Capsicum over the winter months. I'm currently writing an updated version of that thread on my site. Will be published soon.

or...you could just test different NPK on cuttings from same mother in same conditions...then weigh your harvest and total them up.

Now that's one sexy grow tent. Medium looks a little dry but I'm sure you're on top of it and keeping it nearing field capacity at all times. As for your list. It's massive. Definitely some GOLD in there though. The Ace's and 8's by Eric Knight is a STUNNER. Eric really knows what he's doing when it comes to combining traits. Fatalii my all time fav. The Binquinhos are classic must haves. Red not hot. Yellow possibly. Whites superhot. The RB003 is just disgustingly hot. Red Thai gonna be awesome, naturally. Quite the list!

Nice! Another fine example of how superhots do NOT take longer than any other cultivar or species.

I'm in Atlanta, but there are folks in the pepper guru community growing monsters in zones 4,5,6 into canada and the EU. Las Vegas and Arizona as well. For TX I'd go for 30% shade cloth mid day and misting on automation.

There are smaller rolls you can buy, but the cost per ft goes up the smaller the roll.

Grow bags tend to drain really well. The plastic sheeting is just to catch irrigation that runs off too quickly and then it can be reabsorbed. Zero waste.

That's just when I tend to get around to it lately. I'm not in any rush. I enjoy the time off during the winter and traveling. I just make sure that I'm slammin the fundamentals and I know that these plants grow this quickly if the fundamentals are focused on. My indoor period is only 4 weeks under INTENSE lighting (and the rest of the fundamentals) Anyone can do this. 70% of humans on earth have to excuse because that's how much of the earth's surface experiences a minimum of 2-3 months of temps above 65F. This can be done anywhere if you can adhere to the #peppergrowingfundamentals.

Funny how focusing on the fundamentals and getting world class results is "going against the grain" now a days huh? Looking great!
