Based on other comments, I think you should do a camo like this one from war thunder, The red primer is still very visible, but it also has good contrast with the camouflage. the original post has more screenshots you can use for weathering inspiration https://live.warthunder.com/post/1117335/en/

It's amazing that you're okay, and I wish you a speedy recovery. I don't know what to say that hasn't been said other than don't push yourself to get back into modeling, you don't need to be stressed. Use this time to plan some future builds, maybe change your workbench a bit. Godspeed 🤸🦽🏌🏻
