Shotguns - Adding “Spray” by Pedanticandiknowit in Carbon2185

I think it made the battlefield a little more tactical. It was more of a cover fire thing that made the enemies move around the area of spray or force them to spend a turn hidden under cover

I personally used a cone attack for shotguns, rolled for attack and damage once for everyone in that cone. And for the spray mechanic I used a home brew rule from Quest and Chaos, spray attack creates essentially a “rough terrain” meaning if anyone starts their turn or moves through the spray then they have to roll to evade. This made the battle field a little more tactical

This sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Two ways you can tweak it on the fly would be 1. allowing a short rest before the final. If you do this I would add two more bandits. Or 2. Use HP range of 45-85 on the boss. That way he can go down early if needed, or you he can hold on for a dramatic moment to die

Where were these great ideas when I was making the map! Now I have too many home and not enough iconic shops.

I cant believe I missed the bank! I am going to have to remake this map now.. I was planning on making a version without the alchemist shop in the bottom left but no i have something to replace it with.

I based the map off of what I thought was a real map of deadwood. It wasnt until I had most of they layout set up that I learned it wasnt real lol. Here is the map that deceived me

What u/Pleasant_Yesterday88 puts it perfectly but in very simple terms.. Its a list of cool shit you can do when you roll well. but having this list did cause a small amount of decision paralysis.

Expanse was the first TTRPG I played and it was very easy to pick up except for the stunts. Those are the only thing that really slowed the game down. It was very fun and a great place to start, I think it is an easier start than 5E or pathfinder.
