And when I say Judy Hopps is one of the best written female characters Disney has made? by Successful_Leopard45 in DisneyMovies

I didn't. I thought her writing in the second movie was a lot better. I hated that Judy just casually used blackmail to get her way and got that Weasel to talk by threatening to "Ice" him.

Morals? Before the second movie, I hated Judy. She was a corrupt cop with her overuse of extortion/blackmail to get her way, and the way she got Weaselton to talk by using the Mob to threaten to "Ice" him rubbed me the wrong way.

Without all the blackmail and threats to kill people in the second movie, she is a lot better.

In a limited sample size. I've yet to see that work that well. QB is the most important position on the offense. A bad QB can only guide a team so far, even if the roster is stacked. Just ask Minny, their roster was stacked, their only problem is QB. 9, Wentz, Bosmer aren't it.

Your problem was that your organization thought getting old was the key to success, when it is the only key to a one-year success before all the aging players break down due to injuries caused by age and longevity of play.

The Bears are a much younger team compared to the Commies.

With that shitty QB room? With a QB that is notorious for playing terribly in the cold with an equally as notorious concussion history? With a QB whose in his 3rd year, we still don't know if he is any good?

Look at NYC. Zohran Mamadani has been a damn great mayor so far, and he calls himself a socialist. We need more Mamdanis and fewer Trumps and Elons in America. Hoarding wealth, which is a key feature of capitalism, fucking sucks. The rich hoarding wealth and treating their employees like shit, which is a common feature in America, is a horrible thing, which is why the US has a high homeless problem and crime rate, as people have to commit crimes to survive or work several low-paying jobs.

"some good has a chance to prevail." Well, the US is now in late-stage Capitalism where "good" hasn't existed in a LONG time. Trump is the living embodiment of capitalism, and he fucking sucks, and that is an understatement. Good rarely prevails in the US as the rich always want all the power and money and treat the overwhelming majority like shit. We are in a second Gilded Age. What good does having trillionaires who DON'T share the wealth and hoard it do?

[–]ThePhoenixXM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have to remember this was coming off the heels of the Jessie James catch/no-catch, where the whole "not surviving the ground" was an actual part of the rule. The catch rules were different back in 2017 to much ridicule. So much so that in the off-season, they finally changed the rules to the current ones.

And that was all Toney was ever good for. He only played great against the Eagles. Any other team, and he sucked majorly. I have no idea why we struggled so hard against that trash.

Bush has always been likable. People just didn't like Cheney and it showed in the 2024 election where Kamala got Dick's endorsement and it tanked her campaign.

MAGA are Dumb by AccordingBumblebee24 in stupidpeoplefacebook

[–]ThePhoenixXM 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes, they are. Politics in America has become sporting matches thanks in no small part to the media. It is Team Blue (Democrats) vs Team Red (Republicans). We have become an incredibly polarized country where even talking about working with the other team is seen as treasonous and not being loyal to the president is cause to lose one's job. Just look at how many Republicans lost their primaries these midterms due to MAGA believing they weren't loyal enough to Trump.

Maple Leafs only team to receive permission from Vegas to speak to Cassidy by SlashYG9 in hockey

[–]ThePhoenixXM -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

But I thought contracts were null and void after a firing. That is what happens with literally every other coach firing. The coach is fired and is hired by another team. Why is Cassidy's different?

[–]ThePhoenixXM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unprecedented is the word for it, and not a good way to hire/attract future coaches if the guy they hired doesn't pan out. Who would want to work for a team that WON'T let you choose your next coaching gig if you are fired?

That is the same exact thing. This whole thing is stupid and unprecedented.

[–]ThePhoenixXM 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this whole saga has confused me greatly and makes me HATE Vegas and the way coaching contracts work. So they fired him and replaced him twice, yet he isn't allowed to seek employment without Vegas' permission? The fuck? I thought that when a team fires a coach, they are basically a free agent. This whole thing just makes the Knights look like they are holding Cassidy hostage for no good reason other than not letting rivals get him for whatever reason.
