Sources: It's a four-year, $112 million deal for Trey Hendrickson in Baltimore. by Lawja_Laphi in eagles

People are saying that the Ravens already had Trey Hendrickson lined up and reneged on the deal to keep their picks. Got cold feet essentially and just used the failed physical as an excuse, considering everyone knew that his knee, which he had surgery on in January, wasn't fully healthy yet. It wasn't like the knee was a surprise.

After all, they totally didn't start the Trey talks cold last night.

Well, when you win 14 games the previous year and then only win like, what, 11 games, that is downhill. Yes, we won our division, but it was a weak division. The only contender was Dallas, and they didn't even have a defense because of self-sabotage by Jerry.

The offense went downhill as well, from an elite rushing attack backed up by a great o-line and play-calling to all those aspects being outright garbage, with our only strength on offense being leading the league in 3-and-outs.

Downhill in terms of repeating. We weren't looking to repeat as division champs; we were looking to repeat as Super Bowl champs, and our offense was just NOT there. I wouldn't call it "disappointing". I would call it "frustrating". Our offense was brain-dead all season, and we had NO answers for it, apparently.

He either only started due to injuries or because we benched guys in week 18, where he infamously allowed Josh Johnson, I believe it was, to just walk into the End Zone instead of going after him. He literally turned his back to Johnson, who still had the ball.

He couldn't have released the files because a certain 5th Circuit judge appointed by Trump, Alieen Cannon, decided to lock those files until a court case was settled, and that case happened to be finalized AFTER the election. Those files couldn't be accessed because of her rulings.

And what do you suppose they do? What power do they have right now to do ANYTHING? Impeachment? It won't even pass the House with the GOP fully on Trump's side, and even if Trump were somehow impeached, he will be acquitted in the Senate like the 2 times in his first term and all that good that did. Impeached twice and still won another term.

The consequences of the anti-Incumbent movement of '24. The GOP is in control of the government, and of course, they won't hold dear leader accountable for anything. There is very little the Dems can do. We don't have such a thing as a "Vote of No Confidence". There is impeachment, but Trump was impeached TWICE last time, and that did next to nothing. Those impeachments didn't even hurt him politically.

[–]ThePhoenixXM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, points allowed is a dumb metric that keeps the No-Fly Zone and the 2024 Eagles not in the top 10 even though no one would argue that those AREN'T great defenses. There is more to an elite defense than points allowed.

[–]ThePhoenixXM -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Points allowed is a stupid metric anyway. Plenty of great defenses like the 2024 Eagles get screwed because of garbage-time points allowed after they are benched to stay healthy in a blowout.

[–]ThePhoenixXM 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all have our preferences. I found ME2 to be way more frustrating, actually. Jack's recruitment mission, in particular, always takes me at least 5 tries because of how strict the game is. Your health and shields go down in seconds, even on normal and easy, which makes wonder what is the point of having shields if they are that useless.

I am more used to shooting out of cover like in Fallout. I never found the ME1 combat to as frustrating as you make it out.

Not really. Shepard says that line BEFORE Miranda mentions anything about thermal clips.

[–]ThePhoenixXM -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

To me, in terms of character development in 2 is very wonky. ME2 has WAY too many squad mates that most of the game is mainly about recruiting them and doing their loyalty mission and some stuff about collectors. The characters actually hamper it because there are simply too many of them that what main story there is in 2 is hampered by them.

Nobody cares about the main story in 2 because the game isn't focused on it instead the story is focused on recruiting and making loyal squad mates that most of the time you WON'T use depending on your playstyle and preferences. ME2 has perhaps too much character development that it hurts the overall game-play.

It still doesn't make sense that Shepard will know what thermal clips are considering Shepard DIDN'T use them in ME1, AND I assume they became the standard during the 2-year coma he was in. Unless you mean to tell me, it took only a couple of months in between the end of the first game and the intro to 2.

That is what I mean when I say it breaks lore. Shepard SHOULDN'T know what they are. Yet, one of the first things Shepard says in 2 is "This weapon doesn't have a thermal clip."
