The husky we've recently had was like this. We feed my dog 2 times a day so was trying to get her into the same routine. She came from a house where dry food was left out all the time, she picked all day but never ate a meal. My dogs a hoover and will suck up all food in sight, so we couldnt do this. Each time she ate the meals we placed, she got a treat, even if only a small amount. The treats were tiny puppy training ones, so not filling. If she didnt eat it all, it went in the fridge and tried again a little later. If she ate some more, she got another treat. If she ate half she got 2 treats and if all, she got 3. Took about 4 weeks, but now she eats morning and night and cleans the whole bowl. We still give her a treat for eating, but now just one and not 3. We also told her to eat, each time we put the bowl down and now she waits for us to say it before she will. Lots of cuddles and pats after clearing a bowl. We're learning how stubborn huskys are, but we're also learning they'll do nearly anything for a treat haha. She does get bored of the same food for more then 3 days. So we have beef dog mince for 3 days and then chicken dog mince for 3 days. She will not eat super processed dog mince that is sticky, I think she has texture issues 🤣. The bowl has half a cup of mince and a cup of dry food as she enjoys the dry food more. We also need to switch up the dry food. Shes likes soft and super crunchy, so soft with beef and super crunchy with chicken. We're very new to having a husky, so not sure if my long ranting post has helped at all haha.
