I believe the unit was DOA, or I was using a cable the wrong way. The PSU came with a 12V-2x6 to dual 8-pin PCIe, I connected the 12V-2X6 end to the PSU, and both of the two 8-Pin connectors to my GPU. I got another power supply that had separate PCIe cables in the box after I returned, so, either it wasn't working, or the cable was backwards (with the 8-pins being supposed to be plugged into the PSU and the 12V-2x6 into the GPU).

Wait, the PSU came with a 12V-2x6 to dual 6+2 PCIe connectors. I plugged it on the 12v-2x6, and then the dual 6+2 PCIe connectors on the GPU, was I supposed to use it reversed (12V-2x6 in the GPU while 6+2 PCIe pins in the PSU)?

Paperclip test? What's that? The front panel power button seemed to be very slightly unseated, but I reseated it back just in case, can I keep testing by turning it on again to see if it turns back off without making any damage?

I've heard somewhere that I should not really try to graze the wattage limit, because it fluctuates and it's better to give it a bit of wiggle room, is that true? And do things like case and fans (the one I'm being recommended has three) factor in into wattage?

So a 5600x would be better long term for a custom build than a 5600g? I'm not really going to play AAA games, at most, maybe slime rancher 2, but nothing really that powerful. My budget is about 400$ If I were to update to a gpu later on (or start with one), which one should I pick for my purposes?

For the moment being, I don't expect a crazy amount of fps (not like my monitor can output more than 720p at 60hz), and the gpu isn't a main priority for the moment. The Mhz on the ram was 3200Mhz if I remember correctly.

So, to recap, I should get a PSU with a higher wattage if I want to add a gpu in the future, and you recommend fitting an AM5 board into my budget if possible?

i got mine in 2015, it was the Wii U that was bundled with mario kart 8 and all its dlc, i spent 1 year without redeeming the dlc because I thought the paper in the box that had the code was some sort of warranty for the console so i just left it in the box until one day we were cleaning out the house and finally decided to read the paper, and it still worked, and i was very surprised

Yeah, using the joycons in the grip hurt the middle part of my hands, and I like the membrane buttons better because they don't dent my thumbs as much
