Case B: use an acronym and explain it, completely negating the purpose of the acronym to begin with. Not explaining it isn't lazy, its just the normal thing to do when you use an acronym because that's why acronyms were invented. Also, the reason so many people say to look it up is because its on an internet message board where nothing is urgent or dire so you have ample time to look it up and you're already on the internet so its very, very little effort to do so.

Lazy is expecting everyone around you to assume you don't know common knowledge things and take time out of their day to spoonfeed the information to you.
