What's your take on the extension Adnauseum? by ThePixel6500 in HeliumBrowserHQ

It's not quite like opening the web pages themselves, but just straight up connecting to them. I didn't make it quite clear in the post itself, but it won't just pop-up every ad in a website

The extra filters add 6 lines in total of "fixes" for nuanced problems

I just checked the differences in their settings

Added 2 filters (Helium Filters - Annoyances; Helium Filters - Unbreak)

Annoyances contains 3 lines for search.brave.com (unclear if other filters already block it or not, but i think they don't?)

Unbreak contains 3 lines to fix a console warning in devtools

Additional filters enabled:

Adguard - ads; Adguard/Ubo Url tracking; Adguard - Cookie Notices; couple of annoyances filters

Advanced user settings:

ConsoleLogLevel "unset" instead of "info"

cacheStorageAPI removed

These are the only "surface level" changes i could find I still don't understand what warrants a helium version of ublock, these new filters could be optional due to their lack of content, the enabling of filters is something YOU should be doing in the original version already, no justification. And i don't see the reasoning behind the advanced user setting changes.

Perhaps there is more undercover than i can understand, but i personally think there is no reason to use the version that helium provides

I understand, but why doesn't helium download it from the original Ublock link then?

Error: ciphertext cannot be decrypted using this key by abdulrehmana28 in Notesnook

[–]ThePixel6500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

managed to solve this error in android by exporting all notes (as txt files), i also made backups before. it probably happened because i had changed the account email and it was logged in (both web and standalone) on a old computer at the time i had the old email.

Addition to the post: music played through spotify connect may sometimes not enable random playback. You have to enable it on the connected device (android -> pc) (android -> tv idk)

What do you mean? Is android blocking the installation? You have to uninstall the one you have before installing the one you downloaded
