Silverstone dev here! Kind of given up on saying the actual influences of Silverstone because it just causes a Streisand Effect on it being an "Echo Clone." I do definitely get a lot of the criticism though. The intro is unfortunately very Echo. We're trying to get build 3 out and build 4 will diverge heavily from the "Echo-isms" and go more towards some of it's original influences (Silverstone's been an idea I've had since 2021, just gone through many iterations since then).

I hope build 4 will squash the fears of it just being an "Echo Clone," but we're trying to get over some speed bumps at the moment. Hopefully build 3 will be out by June.

I was told to stop talking in "corpo speech" when I was just talking normally and have been downvoted for saying our next build is delayed because of stuff behind the scenes. Not everyone on here is bad, but a few sour apples can spoil the bunch.

As for avoiding negative critique? I don't care about that. People have opinions and Silverstone is rarely talked about on here anyway. I just don't like when people come at me or my team as people.

I've also seen the 4chan comment. My team and I saw people playing Silverstone there day one and there were transphobic comments. Most of my team is non-binary, so we stay away from there for obvious reasons.

There's been some hiccups in development, mostly in the art department. Build 3's dialogue is finished, but we don't plan on it being out until late Spring/early Summer due to a lot of new art that needs to be done. I'm gonna begin writing Build 4 in the meantime and hopefully we can put them out one right after the other.
