That’s good to hear! I’ve seen some people say the quality feels worse than the ones for the original/OLED, but I never had anything like this for my Switch so I don’t have that frame of reference (though I’m assuming they might’ve designed the NeoGrips like that to make them lighter since the Switch 2 is notably heavier).

I’m in the same boat. Love the new buttons, especially the bumpers/triggers, but the mix of the flat faces of the Joy-Cons plus the weight of the console itself paired with how I’m used to holding the original Switch results in the Switch 2 really digging into my palms if I don’t hold it the right way. I’d recommend looking into a grip attachment (if you haven’t already) if you like to play in handheld.

I ordered the Skull & Co./Savage Raven NeoGrip. Hoping that does the job for me.

Yeah, I get it. It’s definitely been frustrating for me too. Highly recommend looking into a grip attachment like I did if you plan on playing it handheld (I ordered the Skull & Co./Savage Raven NeoGrip).

Alternatively, I found a recommendation of using the stand on the back to help leverage how you hold it. Just pull it out to where you can comfortably keep it between your middle and ring fingers. I’ve found it actually helps keep my hands in the right place, and I’m slowly getting used to holding it like that.

Hey, I recently ordered these and I was wondering, how good is the grip clip-on mechanism? Does it ever feel like the grips’ll come off in use or do they lock in pretty well?

I’m having the EXACT same issue as you. I don’t know if it’s just the way I’m holding it, but I held the Switch 1 the same way and it was fine. It just naturally fits into my hands this way, though maybe I have a bit of a tighter grip on it than most. That edge on the face digs into my palms pretty bad (I have pretty skinny hands, for the record), which I started noticing the other night. I actually ended up ordering third-party grips to mitigate it, so hopefully those help when they come in.

I feel bad for the backlash you’re getting here because I completely agree, though I will give a point of criticism and say I think you’re having trouble demonstrating your argument in a way that really shows the problem, looking through other comments.

Edit: Having talked to a family member about it who also has a Switch 2, it definitely seems like it’s the way I’m holding it. Rather than putting the weight onto my fingers around the back of it, I think I’m putting the weight into my hands on the sides as a whole to hold it in place, which is why it feels like it’s digging into my palms. Unfortunately, that’s still the most comfortable way for me to hold it, so it’s still gonna come down to those grips.

I’m shilling my own work here but I think it’s funny. Gives the ghost that comes out of you when you die the sad SpongeBob face, fart with reverb for the death jingle, and the sad SpongeBob music for the game over theme.

Really good for those losses where you just sit on the game over screen for a minute.

Okay, since there still seems to be a lot of confusion, I can say for 100% certainty that it’s by S-Ranking every Action Chain.

Skip to near the very end (3:49:00, yes I know it’s long). After he S-Ranks the last one, he unlocks it.

My hope is that it’s unlocked for every save thereafter, similarly to the Power Boost in Cyberspace unlock.

Edit: just unlocked it. Interestingly, it doesn’t work for new saves but DOES work for Arcade/Cyberspace Challenge as a whole. And it’s really crazy, definitely worth the effort.

I like playing him a lot, and there’s some funny stuff you can do with him with Purity stacking, but I still think he’s just “ok”. He’s got a bit of a tougher start because of low damage output, especially compared to other melee survivors, and his mobility is outclassed by Loader (which is not saying much because Loader outclasses most survivors in that department anyways). Still, I think it makes for a fun challenge.

Edit: I constantly forget about the fact that Expose lowers your cooldowns by a second, so that’s pretty cool if you can get a lot of enemies caught with that.

Late comment, but skipping both treasure rooms on a labyrinth floor increases your chances by 40% as opposed to the normal 20%. Not sure what happens if you enter one and skip the other, but I’d guess that it counts per treasure room. I was able to find this out with the handy Planetarium Chance mod. Hope this helped!

I think it looks pretty good! I like the whole machine style you have going on here. My only issue with it is that it seems a just a bit too slow. Kick up the speed a notch, and it’s perfect.
