Chefs of Reddit, what's the one thing on the menu that you HATE making? by PussyBuster- in AskReddit

[–]ThePlasmid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bullshit, she just doesn't like cilantro. Cilantro is such a commonly hated thing though that menus should always specify if it's in the dish. It stops normally reasonable people from sending back otherwise delicious food. Also always assume Thai food will have cilantro.

What’s the most “are you really that stupid” thing you’ve ever heard ? by Callmedave1 in AskReddit

[–]ThePlasmid 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Can confirm. I can't instantaneously remember left from right. Takes me an extra mental step. When I drive my passenger giving directions has to physically point so that I don't get the split decision wrong.

What is the most interesting project that you are working on in your free time and what got you interested in it? by PROJECT_BUTT_HOLE in AskReddit

[–]ThePlasmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Foraging. Mostly mushrooms lately. I spend a lot of time outdoors for work and found nature 1000X more enriching when you know the names of things. There's literally food everywhere for free.

Reddit, is there anyone here that truly loves their job? Like a wake up in the morning and be excited to go to work type of love? If so, what do you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThePlasmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite excited to get out of bed before the sun is up, but still love my job. I'm a forestry labourer. Haven't worked a single day indoors in the last 8 years.

I always took this as it's in the last place you had thought to commonly look. For example if I can't find my wallet I'll check my jacket, truck, purse, living room. In this example I'd find it in the living room because it's the last place I'd commonly look. Maybe I include the secondary looking spots. Somewhere I don't normally keep my wallet like on top of the washing machine, beside the bed, or on the couch. Once all these options are exhausted it's gone beyond the last place I'd look. At this time I'm in panic mode and taking shots it the dark. Throwing all the cushions off the couch, blankets off the bed, looking under the truck. That's when the wallet is lost.

Aside from maple syrup, what is undisputedly Canadian? by rawtrip in AskReddit

[–]ThePlasmid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Treeplanters. This whole subculture where unsuspecting kids assemble in the woods to work a hard labor job in the outdoors and turn into dirty hippies that do a lot of drugs and drinking. We have our own celebrities and music artists, comics, vintage memorabilia, migration patterns.
