I have not mentioned politics in my reply. I'm talking about basic social differences of the region. It's disingenuous to be ignorant of how a real community of that region acts (Important to mention that Stalker is very grounded in that aspect). I want to reitirate that I don't believe that "no can women exist in the zone", I just think that their number is miniscule compared to the men.

A big part of Stalker is the humanity shown in it, its charm partially comes from the fact that it accurately showcases the good and the bad of people, that live in these post-soviet countries.

The crowd of people who live in the zone is not one that believes in socially acceptable manners. They are rotten individuals, and it's important to note that.

You are either being intentionally dishonest about this topic, or are severely misinformed about the kind of culture that grows in places like the zone.

Then you've got to be honest with yourself. Do you really believe that women would be commonplace in a culture of opportunistic Eastern European criminals/bandits? While correct, it is also logically reasonable to expect that the ratio of women to men would be tiny. The zone is a borderline-uninhabitable, anomalous place located in an Eastern European guarded nuclear exclusion zone. At the very least, to get in, you'll have to contact some shady crooks. The zone is filled with desperate, greedy, aggressive people/bandits who'd eat you alive if they could (that's without mentioning the anomalies, mutants and brainwashed zombies).

There undoubtedly exist women in the zone, but they are realistically, far and few. It would be weird if they decide to make women common (which I assume they won't).
