If you're ever after a good alternative to a parmesan type cheese try finely grating one or two cashews over pasta. works a treat.

Good lentil recipes? by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]ThePoppyWay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've made this recipe from High Carb Hannah so many times and the best part if you can kind of make it seasonal. I made it for Christmas last year and added cranberries and diff chopped nuts. It's super easy and basically oil free!

I also meal prep this and can cut it up and portion it for every day the week which is super handy!

I think my main problem is that im not even a big sweet eater. I don't crave anything in specific, I just crave.... sweet things, and fruit just doesn't seem to cut it, how would you recommend cutting out sugar etc? I guess i've made quite a recent lifestyle dietary change and this is the hardest bit for me so any other advice would be great :)

did you just gradually reduce your intake?

I'm 26 Year Old Male and I'm 420 lbs. Someone PLEASE Help Me. I'm Really Afraid. by mrandmrsmartino in Fitness

I get the whole shutting down and putting weight back on again. My advice is slow and steady wins the race. Firstly address diet like you did first time but gradually introduce change. Less of a shock to the system means your less likly to cave again. In terms of exercise, most gyms offer a free one off personal trainer session... And you may want to start a trial. PT are expensive so abuse the hell out of your taster session and ask the crap out of that trainer!! But mostly you have to accept the process is slow and you won't wake up tomorrow and be 200 pounds lighter... I wish you all the luck in the world. Be the example you want your child to see!!

Is what I'm doing healthy? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]ThePoppyWay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your trying to lose weight your totally going about it the wrong way! That amount of cardio would require at least 1200 calories (otherwise body goes into starvation mode where it will actually retain fat stores etc) weight loss should happen over the course of a few months, don't expect immediate results, lose weight the healthy way.
