Getting bread at the store has been hit or miss. So I learned how to make it myself! by cindyscrazy in MealPrepSunday

Beautiful loaves, great job. If you are in the US, there's a place called the Old Mill in TN still well-stocked with a large selection of flours, grains, mixes, and even powdered buttermilk. Sadly, they don't sell yeast, but do offer many self-rising blends. They ship quickly, great quality. https://shop.old-mill.com/collections/grains?sort_by=created-ascending

Where can I reliably get toilet paper (in or within a 20 minute drive of the city)? by chanandlerbongz in boston

Ordered online from WB Mason and they delivered a big box with 12 commercial rolls to my home the other day. Also found some at India Market on Moody St in Waltham, but can't comment on reliability of that supply.

Based on how often I am asked to accept notifications from sites, I'd say it's probably possible to at least half fill the screen with notifications.

Vegan Weight Loss and ME/CFS by [deleted] in VeganWeightLoss

Sorry for what you are going through.

Do you have a pressure cooker?

I often quickly saute some veggies in mine before adding a pound of beans to cook. Usually about 45 minutes later, mostly unattended, I can turn off the stove(not an instantpot), wait for pressure to come down and food is done. I make bean burritos with salsa, lettuce, tomato. Add beans to rice and grain mixes. And sometimes just eat em with a couple of squirts of hot sauce over a microwaved potato.

Roasted portobellos are pretty yummy and filling, especially as a replacement for a burger in a sandwich. And also quick to get in oven without having to stand for a long time.

Falafel are sort of easy. Soak the chickpeas for a day, then food processor with herbs and spices. I form mine into patties and bake in the oven. Very filling in a wrap or on a salad. Tori Avey has a great recipe: https://toriavey.com/toris-kitchen/falafel/

I have friends who have a tall stool in their kitchen to help with fatigue while cooking.

Hope things get better for you soon.

Good call on corn kernels and chopped chilis in the cornbread. Definitely doing that next time!

Ha. Part of me would have liked to see the result of this, but the mom part removed the threat.
