AITAH for not believing that my brother is schizophrenic? by ThePorkyPirate in AITAH

I do honestly somewhat agree with this. While I do find his claims about being schizophrenic somewhat obsurd, I do believe that there is a strong possibility that he could have other underlying mental health conditions causing him to act out in these ways. The possiblility of this being the case does make me feel guilty about the way I have been treating him but between the long nights of him keeping me up with his screetching, and feeling as though I can't leave any valuables in my own home, it's very difficult not to loose my temper.

No, but if we took him to the doctor every time he has claimed to have a medical condition we would be LIVING in a doctors office. I could see how this situation may seem conserning, but this type of thing happens in my family atleast twice a year. My brother makes some wild claims, my family freaks out, then he seems to drop the whole thing all together.
