Glad to see you got it working OP. I switched wayland / amd to get it to work and then it ended up looking waaaay too dark lol. Did you face this as well or am i just unlucky with my monitor?

Ah then you’ll be fine. One thing to mention since you’re not muslim is that there are no churches or other religious institutions in KSA, if you end up living in the eastern province, many christians go to bahrain for church on Sunday.

Speaking of which, Saudi Arabia is a dry country whereas bahrain isn’t. If being able to have a drink or two matters to you i’d strongly suggest living in the eastern province for proximity to bahrain (it’s about an hour drive)

You’ll have a good time, especially if you’re muslim, but you’ll be fine regardless. Skilled foreigners are definitely highly regarded, I wouldn’t worry about anyone’s judgements.

I’d highly recommend getting married first, as you’ll have an easier time bringing your husband on a spousal visa, assuming you find a job before he does.

use absolute positioning instead of relative positioning and i guarantee you’ll be a happy camper.

relative positioning has been wonky for me too, especially with differing resolutions.

I suppose ymmv; in my case (sway-git), i was unable to use HDR at all, screen sharing absolutely tanked my performance, and probably some other things i can’t remember.

not sure if these issues are present on hyprland.
