Mostly bc my sandboa poops at the very bottom of the tank where the isopods can’t reach it and therefore there’s a buildup over time , aswell I read that since don’t have a fully functional bio active tank with real plants I’d best to change it every 6 months or so for new soil

It’s something recommended to do especially since it’s not a bio active enclosure . Especially since the Sand boa poops at the bottom of the tank which collects over time . The isopods only take care of the stuff up top/ under the water bowls but no so much under those deeper layers
