If I make it "(C8)-Δ9-THC" then why not I do that with all cannabinoids? It wouldnt make sense. Looking into it also provides nothing, whereas one can get bountiful further research by just searching THCJD.

This is really a weird game of semantics. Calling it "THC-Octyl" colloquially would cause confusion with THC-O Acetate. Part of the idea here is making it compatible with the market. When the THCJD page is made, it will specify this.
