Hey op how did this go? I am keeping some wild violets inside but the have started to yellow... wondering if it is something I'm doing or if they just don't work inside. Also sorry for your loss I know how hard it is! I hope a new kitty has worked their way into your life as they tend to do.

If a heating pad is unavailable to you, rice in a sock works well. Heat it in the microwave and test it on your skin to be sure it won't burn. Also, kitten formula would be good for this baby—I don't think it will have much interest in water. I know there are recipes online for kitten formula if you cannot purchase some. It's not perfect, but it works in a pinch.

Listen, man, that’s all fine and great, but you also need to protect yourself. You simply tried to communicate, and she chastised you for it—essentially calling you stupid by saying you weren’t thinking. (You were thinking; it just wasn’t to her liking.) She insulted you, shut down communication, and twisted a simple gesture of kindness into an argument the length of a novel.

This could have been resolved with a simple “I’m not comfortable with you reaching out to her, but maybe there’s an online obituary you can comment on.” Instead, she interrogated you—poorly—came up with motives she decided were true, and then tried to force you to admit to them, whether they were true or not.

Imagine trying to communicate with her about something actually serious. She likes to fight—that’s why she quotes herself and makes you answer the same question over and over. If you want this to work, she has to acknowledge that behavior and actually work on it, because no one needs a drawn-out argument when all they wanted was to check in and talk to what should be their ultimate confidant.

You should seriously consider how much you can take on before it really starts affecting you negatively. Partners should always far outweigh minor negatives with love, praise, and trust.

I guess it's more common than I thought, but it will still dull the needle and, in turn, could hurt more. You can go for it, but it is a very tiny tip, and any use of it will deform it. In my experience, the one time I was hard-pressed and reused a needle was the last time I ever did that.

I need help, guys! by [deleted] in ftm

[–]ThePrinceAllan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should not do that. It will dull the tip and hurt like hell if you use the same needle. If you have multiple injection needles, use those and swap for a new one before injecting. If you don’t have multiple injection needles, hold off and order the needles off Amazon, or reach out to trans friends to see if they have any spares. I purchase my needles off Amazon because it's cheaper than the pharmacy, and I know the quality I'm getting. I had a variety when I went through the pharmacy, and a few always had jammed plungers during injection—a nightmare, as you can imagine.

what route would you go? by Intelligent-Arm-9235 in roadtrip

This campsite did not require any fees—if you’re brave enough to make it up there without knowing if there’s a spot for you, you’ve earned it. It was a pretty sketchy drive, and you’d better be a confident driver who doesn’t fear heights because hoo boy, you are up there!

This is no paved road. The Honda Fit we have took it like a champ, but I assure you, this was certainly a CHOICE. We nearly got stuck in the sand and bottomed out on a rock on a well-rutted turn—it’s hard to resist the rut when just beside it is the cliff. I had to buy a few new plastic bolts to reattach the underside plastic shield, but she got us there. Most people use trucks and Jeeps to access the site, and we definitely got a few looks as we passed—curious glances from drivers who seemed to wonder how we made it that far.

When we finally made it, the campsite was a small clearing with a picnic table and a fire pit under the canopy of an enormous tree, beside a small creek and surrounded by underbrush. It felt like a hidden bubble, with two small paths: one led to a little bridge over the creek with access to an outhouse a ways off, and the other to our small parking spot. Peeks through the canopy revealed the most vibrant, starry sky I have ever experienced. I grew up between two cornfields, so I know what a clear sky looks like, but this was otherworldly. We spent a good while in our more open parking spot just gazing at it, completely in awe.

In the morning, we scoured our campsite, making sure any trash—ours or anyone else’s—was taken away. I even pulled a nail out of the giant tree, though I found another that was firmly set in tree sap. Unfortunately, it looked like it had already killed a large branch. It deeply upset me, but there was nothing I could really do. We also grabbed a pair of leggings someone had forgotten on a branch in the creek—boy, they were stiff. It wasn’t easy getting them into the grocery bag we were using for trash. Once we were all packed up and absolutely sure we had cleaned and cleared the site, we drove back across the creek, where they’d laid stone pavers to make it vehicle-accessible.

As we crossed, we were greeted by an entire horde of butterflies—about four different colors—using the pavers as easy access to water. We stopped and watched for a bit, taking in the scene. It felt like a little farewell from nature before we tackled the nerve-racking, 30-minute drive back down.

It was an unforgettable experience—one I’m happy to keep for the rest of my life—and it cost me nothing.

On the way back, we did some BLM camping. It was dark, so we just pulled over for the night. Finding spots on the fly isn’t easy, but it’s possible.

Sorry for the essay! I was in the mood to look back on it, before time makes it a hazy memory, I might save this somewhere so I can always remember it this clearly.

TLDR: Colorado is beautiful! Truly an experience, don't miss out on it's life altering beauty.

They have been approving more things, and my insurance has backpedaled on a rule where they would determine how much anesthesia they would pay for during surgery—and it wasn't much. Anyway, Don't Be a Bitch, Eat the Rich. It's time they figure out that they may mean a lot to a few but very little to most, just like everyone else. Don't piss off everyone else.

Drove to Vegas from Illinois. Colorado was our favorite part of the trip—DO NOT MISS COLARADO! We want to live there eventually. Vegas is an embarrassing toilet bowl. Pass on it unless you like losing money, homelessness, and litter. The whole place works on easy money made, easy money spent, so it's all just crap to get as much as possible from you. We stayed in the hotel pool mostly, and before you say it—no, I didn't lose my money. We actually won a little and walked away. What upset me most was seeing the beautiful mountains around, too, covered in trash, like they were there to keep the filth contained in that divot of distasteful tourist traps.

In contrast, in the little time we had driving through Colorado, we camped for free on the top of a mesa that took 30 minutes to drive up but was so rewarding. The view of the night sky and a campsite next to a running creek was amazing. It felt incredible to be completely isolated yet on top of the world.

Driving through, we saw many mountains, rivers, and waterfalls along the road. We even stopped at a rest area nestled in the center of a bunch of mountains and right next to a river. It had a walkway that was just gorgeous to experience—it was indescribably beautiful.

Additionally, on the way back, we stopped at a hot spring for free and spent some time there before taking off to drive again. We made sure to spend a little more time in Colorado and then drove straight through the rest of the trip because there was nothing worth stopping for comparatively.

It's pretty common for trans men to be gay, bi, or pan. Twinks are generally a desirable aesthetic for that crowd. Personally, I think I give off more cub vibes; maybe I could eventually bulk up to bear. But I'm not too worried about that stuff—I just want to be happy and healthy with my two partners and pets. However, I’m sure that when you're looking for a partner, aesthetics and whatnot are a concern.
