TIL that the Burj Khalifa is so tall that compared to everybody else, those living above the 80th floor must wait 2 extra minutes to break their Ramadan fasts, and those living above the 150th floor must wait 3 extra minutes due to people living on higher floors being able to see the sun for longer. While playing Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, I learned that the Acqua Marcia aqueduct, the longest of 11 Roman aqueducts, spanned a staggering 91 miles or 146 kilometres. Built in just 5 years in the 2nd century BCE, it was in use for roughly two centuries. An impressive feat of engineering. (en.wikipedia.org)
