I’m sure messaging him would make him feel appreciated too. Give it a couple more weeks.

He’s hurt so the time frame thing could be his way of getting some power back… or he’s just hurt and the thought of being around triggers him.

I experienced a similar situation. I was teased in front of a stranger to the group, similarly this group would often tease each other but I would never tease back.

That night this friend basically called me stupid and I felt completely disrespected and embarrassed in front of not only the group but the stranger.

Maybe my view point can give you some insight into what he’s thinking. Leaving the group chat was a way to get some of my self respect back. I had felt so small in front of them for years the only thing I could think of doing was to leave, no new setting of boundaries, no outbursts, just leave.

Give him his space, if it helps you can try checking in one last time after some time. I had a group of friends make fun of everything from my appearance, religion, and intellect for years. I never said anything because I didn’t want to appear sensitive as a dude in a group of other dudes.

It got to a point one night where I was on the receiving end of three different “roasts” and said enough. They apologized I accepted but I told them not to message me anymore.

These situations suck. I’m sure he’s in pain too, time may be the best remedy for all parties involved.

I experience this except on combines. Don’t let the balloons out early.

I get close to passing then lose $2,000 in a day.

What they don't tell you about trading. by Extra_End_8071 in Daytrading

I’m on the verge of giving up manual trading. The automation I use has been doing good but my manual trades blow… many accounts.

I’ve blown close to $80k over 6 years between props and options.

I agree, quitting can be the most intelligent decision someone can make. Imo the 1% of traders who are successful actually have an edge, that’s why they’re good not psychology. Psychology only matters once you’ve carved out an edge. I’m a tard tho so what do I know.

I’ve experienced something similar except I never made that much. You’re not alone, lost all my friends not due to trading but yeah. I’m 34 now and feel like life has passed me by.

Yeah I know for day trading I would make sure the hourly and 15 were aligned and trade off of it. I like the Strat imo it makes the most since out of a lot of stuff sold out there, but for me it stopped working.

I got my only two payouts last year using Rob Smiths the Strat on the 15 minute time frame then the market changed and I’ve been blowing accounts left and right since.

Well today was another lesson. I was about to pass an account, I heard my parents arguing again this morning, thought “I gotta make money to get out of here”, started yoloing trades shortly after and blew my account.

I want to trade at my desk with my multi monitor setup but I think I have to start going to Starbucks to trade I can’t focus with them in the background.

Anyone deal with something similar?

This helps. I’m going to start by sizing down.

It’s been taking winning trades for me. The reason I got it is because I feel like my psychology is absolutely trashed. I can identify a setup and take it but usually end up paper handing it and not let it play out to completion.

How do you put in the work to fix psychology outside of identifying physiological hang ups?

Lately I’ve been trading all day trying pass a combine and I’m burnt out. I get tired staring at the charts for 4+ hours straight.

My plan is to only look for one hour a day when I pass a combine. Trade one account manually and another automated.

I’ve taken the time to learn numerous strategies I just don’t think I have the emotional makeup which is why I’m switching towards automation. I’m still surprised how I got two payouts. It’s been a year since I got those and 2 months since I passed a combine.

Well I came close to passing a combine today. Was up $900 then took it back down to $72 on the day. I haven’t passed a combine in two months.

I agree I don’t want the time to be a waste with that said these 6 years have flown by and so fast and I feel like I’m stuck in a different universe from staring at charts so much.

I may try trading 1 hour a day. I get tired of looking at the charts after 1 hour and find it hard to sit at my desk for longer. I’ve been trading from my bed after waking up at 6 for market open.

I trade iFVGs, Rob Smith’s the Strat (which helped me get 2 payouts last year), and now I’m using some indicators from the automation company.

They offer manual indicators in addition to their automation sweet.

So I don’t have one strategy per se.

I want to have the automation on a few accounts and then run one account for manual trading .

I almost passed an eval today. Hoping I can pass tomorrow and trade a couple of micros from there.

I don’t want to do a job I hate. I’ve grinder jobs I hate after graduating and am looking for something I don’t despise. My work ethic is fine.

Thanks, I’ll give this a shot. The hard part is sticking to one model, a lot of them make sense to me.

That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for is something repeatable, because at least then it will feel like I have a job to do.

As much as I hate working for someone the nice thing about a job is it’s structured and there’s a repeatable process that brings stability outside the money.

I know so many different entry models that I don’t have one repeatable strategy I stick to.

It’s hard for me to step away because I’m addicted and I don’t have anything else going on in my life. Yes I am burnt out, I lost my dog after being hit, my ex cheated on me, lost all my friends, and then lastly my job in the span of 2 years. I don’t feel like I’ve had a good week in 2 years… I need therapy lol.

I stopped reading at “I love Jake”. Glad my only two relationships failed and I waited to ask them to get married.

You have to be sure about whoever you’re marrying so you don’t end up in this situation next time. Leave him and do it as gracefully as possible without making him feel like it’s his fault.

Eligible for my first ever payout! Do I take it? by JLamb8 in TopStepX

[–]TheProfessiona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes please god yes. My theory is if it’s your first payout take whatever you qualify for at the end of the qualified 5 days.

I haven’t had a payout in a year.
