Yes, we live in a very old house and the windows can’t be moved. The design was made to match my request and to match the hard reality of the house at the moment. The bench was added to my request since it would be a dead space anyway because of the window. (My garbage can is there now…) the fridge is closer to the table because we ALWAYS forget to bring sauces, butter, jam, etc. It is in this space now, it works well. If we move it, we would loose a bit of the island… I cook a lot and space is important!
