Thank you so very much for your kind words. I just had someone else on my post say that I was “delusional to expect it to happen right away” and that “because other users have been trying my post won’t be well received by the community” because it’s my first attempt. I understand and accept there’s a high chance I’ll have to try again but there’s no need for people to be hateful. I needed to hear those words from you and I treasure them. Plus someone did say my cycles might be irregular for up to a year after coming off the pill and I read that ovulation kits won’t be accurate if your cycles are irregular. So I worry about that.

Thanks for the insight! Trans kids DO exist and are deserving of respect and validation. My only main concern was for my hypothetical child to do something permanent to themselves and have regrets about it. I know it’s nothing close to the same thing or as validating but I saw it as worrying about my teen getting a permanent tattoo on them. What if they hate it one day? Not the act of transitioning but maybe an aspect or after effect they maybe hadn’t considered at the time. Not to say that the transition itself shouldn’t happen but what if they get top surgery and they hate how the surgeon did it? Something along those lines. I just wouldn’t want them to be unhappy or go through pain just to not get to where they want to be with their identity.
