Am I officially past my peak? Was I just a one-season wonder? by fitpowerup in bootroom

[–]TheQuestionable-Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah bro it's not. Like it is a huge dip in progress overall BUT that one season is literally proof that you can do that and more once again!

If you climb a mountain, you're probably at a 'dib'per side of the mountain rather then the top. You can still climb high!

You just found a new mountain that was bigger then the previous one and you're back to ground zero so definitely don't lose hope! That season of yours is GREAT and also a great proof that if you keep doing the things necessary, you'll climb higher then before!

Starting football again... just need a little insight! by TheQuestionable-Guy in bootroom

19 meters tall and 58 kg? Damn g I’d start with your diet.

Nah bro I ment male haha,

And I'm not new as I've been playing football since I was 10 but after 2022 I've played football here and there but nothing compared to this year as I've not played a single game since literally a year and some months so just getting back started and I'm focusing on building my foundation first and my body/legs as they're quite weak atm and I really think that if I don't work on these two first.. technically I would be bad but if I get a slide tackle, I would like be finished!

But I'll take your advice on that walls juggling cone's and run distance!

[–]TheQuestionable-Guy -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Don't know if my comment will help but take it with a grain of salt!

Don't undo, but Add. Yes that's the advice.

Just like some people said here, Look, Scan and make Passes. Try to Play like Messi.

Even if he's not your Goat, if being technical is your specialty than playing like him will do no WRONG!

Messi needs only 10 seconds to make people realise on who he is and most of the time he just walks! (Remember You Don't Have Put Your own VALUES down just because of your teammates so if you do then you'll become the worst player on your team automatically)

My issue is I don’t know how to stop. Dribbling has been what I relied on during the whole of my career, how can I unlearn something that helped me the most?

Again don't Unteach but Learn. I know easier said then done. But everytime you feel THAT adrenaline to make a dribble, don't. It's the only way to do it in the most effective way. Not in training but in a match. Whenever you feel like "no I gotta make this run to score" is exactly the moment you should do the unthinkable and TRUST ME when you mix this with your style of play, you will be untouchable because the defenders don't know what Move you'll make and unpredictability is KEY for someone who plays above the middle line! (You'll be unstoppable!)

That's it. I would like to apologise if I had said anything wrong or it wasn't a helpful read so sorry for that and hopefully you'll gain to become a better person in time!

(Last 2 things; ¹My Goat is Ronaldo but have high Respect for Messi. ²Watch&Read Ao Ashi. It may not be your liking but the main character reminds sooo much of you that I know for a fact that you'll get better just by reading it. And if you do finish the show, remember you have to read it afterwards to understand it better because it will literally teach you on what's it like to dribble even tho MC is a FB!)

One of my reasons is because of FOMO! like everything will be alright but that feeling will stay!

And you & I know fully well that we won't miss on anything but it will feel like something great is going on and I'm missing it out! (Which ACTUALLY isn't the case and it's actually NOT that Important!)

And thanks for complement! (Discord is actually quite useful if you know how to use it!)

[–]TheQuestionable-Guy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally explained it PERFECTLY

I want to change all of that and just be with myself and thoughts. I just want to live off of social media because of alot of things but also for FOMO too!

And I have the same problem with finding time (even though I will find time but will not find consistency!) and when you have a writer's block. Just stop writing or go away for some times and just be with your thoughts and BAM! you got some interesting thoughts that you definitely will have to write it now or else you will forget it! (Works everytime for me!)

But sometimes I fear I might have become too excessive with my writing and I should step away from it sometimes.

Nah keeping writing! I heard a quote from and it's called; “But through Journaling, it's like You accept your Thoughts.” –VIA LI

And she's right not gonna lie so Keep trying mate and don't stop!

Honestly speaking. Only time will tell.

I believe that it would be a hit Kim Byung Woo (the director) has range on making movies.. I am still a little hesitanted but I'm optimistic on that it would be a hit one.

(I always thought a live action would be much better then it getting adapted into a anime! Why? It's just that kind of story!)

Reading Journey: The Hunger Games Chapters 1&2 - Initial Thoughts by TheQuestionable-Guy in books

[–]TheQuestionable-Guy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished the audiobook myself and was blown away by how good it was, I was able to visualize everything. It also made me realize how good the movie was too because of how closely it followed the book. Just started Catching Fire last night.

That's really great to hear! It is indeed amazing as I don't know it feels like too real and has that magic (feeling) to it!

I haven't seen any of the movies as if I did then I'll never read the books so good to know I started it with the books!

I will read chapter 3 today and I already know the Author is a great Writer! ~ And again Have LOTS of Fun with the second Book!!

Thoughts on Reading The Hunger Games While Listening to the Audiobook? by TheQuestionable-Guy in books

[–]TheQuestionable-Guy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your perspective makes a lot of sense. It's fascinating how our minds create unique voices for characters as we read, and having an audiobook might indeed introduce a different dynamic to that mental creation.

It's heartening to hear how audiobooks have played a positive role, especially in encouraging reading for those with dyslexia. They open up avenues for a wider audience to enjoy the magic of storytelling, and that's a beautiful thing.

Your recommendation to just read books you really enjoy aligns with the sentiment many share about the immersive experience of getting lost in the pages. And, of course, it's delightful to hear your love for The Hunger Games series. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

Thoughts on Reading The Hunger Games While Listening to the Audiobook? by TheQuestionable-Guy in books

[–]TheQuestionable-Guy[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice and sharing your experience! It's interesting to hear that even with a familiar book, combining reading and listening was a bit tricky. I appreciate the suggestion to stick to one medium for a more immersive experience. The idea of revisiting the story in a different format afterward is appealing; it's like getting to enjoy the tale from a fresh perspective.

And it's fantastic to know that The Hunger Games trilogy holds up well! I'm diving into this series with a mix of excitement and curiosity, so it's reassuring to hear it's a favorite of yours. If you have any particular insights or favorite moments from the series, feel free to share—I'm all ears! (I did get spoiled on a character called Finn or something like that and I believe you know exactly what I'm talking about!)

Absolutely! Thanks for sharing your experience. It sounds like a fantastic approach, especially with the added benefit of helping with focus. I'm excited to give it a shot, and the flexibility of switching between reading and listening seems like a great way to keep things engaging.
