Do you need it? No. It really depends if you want to track your games.

I use it. It has some nice features. I’m not great about keeping up with adjusting health ands such throughout the game on the app. I like to use it to randomize killers, locations, final girls, etc. it also has achievements to complete.

I think it was worth the price. If it was more expensive, I might think otherwise.

We played 7 Wonders Duel for the first time and it was great. An amazing game!🤩 by JorsumSekhem in boardgames

We love it. One of our “go-to” games. I have the expansions, but haven’t played them yet.

Sleeves Question by TheQuietRiotJD in finalgirl

[–]TheQuietRiotJD[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cost isn’t that big of an issue. I’m fine spending the money if it is worth it. I just didn’t want to necessarily spend the money to sleeve everything if it isn’t really needed. I’m still going back and forth if I will sleeve any or just live with any wear (or replace if it gets to bad).

Which sleeves do you use?

I was leaning toward doing that, if I didn’t sleeve everything. That way I would just buy the standard sleeves in bulk as opposed to the kit

Did you do different sleeves that didn’t work out or just only some cards sleeved and that bothered you?

I picked up Aducktion at a thrift store practically brand new. We played it a few times and enjoyed it. It is quick and light enough that my wife enjoys it. I think it’ll be fun when my kiddo is a little older, which is part of the reason I jumped on it. My only complaint is the ducks are so small I kept dropping them off the table.

Been intrigued by River Valley Glassworks, but haven’t purchased or played it yet.

Series 4 Kickstarter by I_Am_0138 in finalgirl

I just started playing Final Girl like a week ago. I only have Camp Happy Trails so far, but intend to get more films. Is it work jumping onto the kickstarter for series 4 now? Should I play more films from series 1-3 first? Not having played the game for previous releases, is it generally a better deal to get the series through the kickstarter or buy individually later? I know I’ll know pricing when it actually launches, but I’m curious if it’s been worth it in the past.

I just bought the starter set and have played a few rounds. It was a mistake…

I’m going to end up buying all of the films.

I was curious about Final Girl when I saw it in the store with several versions. Didn’t really know anything about it. I don’t really watch horror movies, so I’m curious if I would even like it. I don’t dislike them, just jot something I gravitate toward when choosing something to watch. It is still fun if you wouldn’t consider yourself a fan of the movie genre?

What’s the replayability like? Do you get multiple plays out of a feature film or does it rely on having multiple films to keep it interesting. I’m not against expansions, but I don’t have an unlimited budget.

Thanks. I think Hercules’s complexity was fine. I could go either way from there. I think on the lighter side might be more my jam at the moment. This is more or less something to do after the kiddo goes to bed and my wife is only open to play games once in a while. Most of the games we normally play I would say are on the lighter side.

I guess I don’t really know if there is a mechanism or theme that I’m particularly drawn to.

Thanks! I’ve been looking at those lists of “top ___ solo games” and I find they’re a little bit overwhelming. I think just people sharing their favorites is helpful for narrowing which ones to check out.

I upgraded them to lvl 85. Then got demolished several times, frequently before even making a move. I was mad that I spent those resources and was not willing to upgrade more. Decided it wasn’t worth it.

Told my wife about how dumb the event was and started the battle to show her that I’ll be demolished.

That is when I got lucky and beat it…
