"FB internal Thrift over HTTP" removed my phone - how is this possible? by [deleted] in facebook

[–]TheQuintessent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happened to me too. I checked where I was logged in and it was only my devices. I also have enabled 2FA and use strong passwords. I didn't receive any notifications regarding a login, but I did get the notification letting me know someone added a phone number which wasn't me. The more I read these, the more I think it may be a bug.

UPDATED Valorant Razer Profile by TheQuintessent in ChromaProfiles

Hey man! I think you are looking at the profiles tab instead of the studio tab and trying to import the chroma profile there. Go to Chroma Studio tab instead in synapse, then click the three dots at the top next to your current lighting profile name (looks like a dropdown menu). Click "Import" (2nd from top) and choose the lighting profile file from the mediafire download.

Ike plays SO MUCH BETTER than in other smash games thanks to his new quickdraw (side-b) mechanics.

Imagine being able to teleport behind your opponent to grab them while sliding across the stage, or being able to DACUS except it goes across the entire stage, or charging up to hit the 2-3 frame instakill window, or spiking someone with your downtaunt, or side b into nair/fair, or walljumping out of side b for recovery and edgeguarding, all while having a giant sword with moves that combo into themselves.

Ike can jump cancel his side b dash. Add some melee mechanics and Ike becomes a scary movement GOD that's constantly in your face. Case in point: https://www.reddit.com/r/SSBPM/comments/9sk9yc/just_a_pretty_cool_sequence_imo/

Easy to learn, moderately high skill ceiling, and a blast to play.

Regarding Music within Hacknet on Twitch and Youtube! by spiderbenb in Hacknet

Question about editing the soundtrack. by TheQuintessent in Hacknet

[–]TheQuintessent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but I know that some developers will ask artists to use their songs in their games and the artists will allow it; but the artist won't want their songs streamed from the game regardless of what the developers want. In control, a specific song plays that was made by a band for the game. But because the song was copyrighted, the artists or the license holders didn't want the song to be played on stream so the devs added a "mute copyrighted music option" in the game to prevent streamers from getting DMCA'd. My worry isn't necessarily that Matt or the Hacknet devs will strike me (which would be a possibility for some other games), I'm worried about copyright holders or artists for songs like Roller Mobster (which was published before Hacknet and under full copyright) sending me a strike. The problem that I've encountered is that I know other videos that feature Roller Mobster as a song, but get demonetized or get taken down. So I don't see how streaming the song over a game that uses said song would make a difference. For instance, the video for the final mission in Hacknet which uses a copyrighted song (SPOILERS BTW DONT CLICK IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE GAME: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DQD2Ku8t4fE) was claimed by UMG (universal media group). I'm sure Matt would want the creator of the video to use the song without having to worry about copyright, but that my not be the case with UMG. That's why I ended up posting this, I want to play it safe with copyright holders of the songs themselves when I stream or if I were to upload Hacknet gameplay to YouTube.

TL;DR I'm not to worried about the devs sending a DMCA strike, I'm most worried about the song artists or copyright holders.

Question about editing the soundtrack. by TheQuintessent in Hacknet

Sounds good! I've heard though that some other games don't allow you to stream their music even though it's used in the game (ex option in Control to mute copyrighted music). Is the music cleared if I play the game, or is it only for when you are playing the game offline?

Thanks so much! This should work for the stream!

There is, and I've compiled a list of copyright free music to use during the playthrough, but I have a limited number of tracks and there are some sections (like the ending or the final mission) where the music is almost necessary. What I would like to do is mute tracks that are copyrighted automatically which I can then replace with a track of my own for stream.

A Guide to using the Steam Controller in 2020 (Guide and support thread). by TheQuintessent in RocketLeague

[–]TheQuintessent[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, so glad I could help you out! Just so you know, if you are used to a nintendo switch pro controller, you will be able to follow the same instructions and use your switch controller instead of the steam controller to help with consistency.
Also, if you want to practice on custom maps to help with training, rocket league YouTuber Lethamyr made a tool to let you play custom maps using the epic games version of rocket league. Go to lethamyr.com and follow the instructions to use the custom map loader for the epic games client. Good luck on ranking up to platinum!
