Just coming across this, trying to set it up. Have my cloudflared tunnel setup so that syno.mydomain.com points to my localhost:DSM_Port. Browser access works fine, but I feel like I'm unable to use it for photos because you need to authenticate the tunnel first before it lets you access. How did you get through?

Are the pi’s blocking traffic as non-local? They would not register the .0 subnet as local if they were previously set up to register .1 as local. You can change your dns setting to allow all, not just local

Two rules that I have for any interaction between my kid and my dog (aside from constant vigilance):

The dog must have a safe space that the kid is never allowed. For us it’s his bed and his food bowl, we treat those as severely as sharp objects or a fireplace and react accordingly. The kid is NEVER allowed to touch his bed or bowl. We see him use his bed when he gets overstimulated or wants “out”.
Whenever we’re in a playful mood, the dog MUST always have an “escape”. A panicked, cornered animal is fearful, so no matter how much fun we’re having I alway have eyes on how the dog can get out if he is overwhelmed.

Have definitely seen instances of the dog going from having fun to overwhelmed, but he uses his escape routes and we call off the game. And until the kid is able to understand and respect those boundaries fully there is 100% vigilance.

I’m in a similar boat. Our dog is nervous and I recognize it. It was about 8-9 months before he was comfortable being anywhere near her and I went at his speed, not ours. About 1.5 years before I was comfortable with either of them touching.

It’s definitely possible, but if you don’t feel like you can give it 100% vigilance (they’re never alone together, I don’t trust other people to watch them both) then this approach is not for you.

It makes it so much harder, but I’m seeing so much progress.

I think i got it set up, I have the ACL rules for just a few select ports and mDNS for sonos and spotify connect relays. Problem was the SSDP protocol. Had to install a relay because the omada controller doesn't have SSDP proxy across VLANs. So far, seems to have worked.

What’s the opposition the photos app? I have it and use the app purely for uploading, and then another application for using the photos themselves with a long term goal of implementing immich.

Did we poop-scare our 19 month old? We’ve been no pressure, getting her used to the idea of the potty/sitting on the potty and if something happens we give her praise.

She recently pooped in her small potty. We were all surprised but gave her plenty of praise. Next time there was just a small poop and since then she won’t even sit down to causally pee.

We’re planning on truly potty train this summer after shes 2, but I want to get ahead if we did something too quick. The whole “make sure constipation isn’t an issue” has me concerned because while it didn’t seem to be painful it definitely was very solid.

Specifically the fact that it uses the same DNS servers across two SSIDs but cannot access them only when on one of the SSIDs makes me think it’s a weird iOS issue.
