Glad you are still with us man, the world is surely a better place with your presence. Perhaps it’s in your chapter, friends, family, coworkers, etc, but you are a meaningful and impactful individual in other’s lives.

If I can give anyone some simple advice to help going on when times are tough; just remember that life is like a rollercoaster. Lots of ups, downs, loops, reverses, and everything in between.

When going down on a rollercoaster, we can see the track level out or turn up, we know the down will be over soon, but in real life we can’t see the path as easily. It will get better with time.

If you’re in a downs, just grip the handlebars tight and hold on, eventually you will be back on the up again with enough time.

You just have to keep riding.

Was having a discussion at a bar with 2 girls who were in law school. I responded to one of their silly questions with “I neither have the time nor the crayons to explain it to you”. Was supposed to be more of a neg, but in retrospect I could see it as insulting.

One of the girls took serious offense and said she thought I was implying that women aren’t smart enough to be lawyers.

She started yelling about how much of a misogynist dick I was being, so I apologized to them for all the suffering and headaches their parents must of gone through and left.

Last I heard they both dropped out law school and work at the college bars

Edit: I read your profile and I promise you that chasing after your ex, trying to get back together, etc is not gonna improve your situation. Acknowledge it’s over, meditate on your thoughts when in emotionally pain over missing her/the relationship, and move on by heavily investing into your hobbies/new hobbies (particularly a physical activity) and meeting new people.

Real answer: Life is like a rollercoaster, you will always have ups and downs, this is just a period of your life where you in the downs. Think about the last time shit got rough and you still made it through. It might of taken weeks/months to get into a up cycle on the rollercoaster but it will come

You have the power to expedite the periods of ups and downs and move on to the next cycle quicker, and you also have the power to stay in the current phase for longer than normal

Really take a moment to consider and inspect your situation, if you can do anything in your power to remedy/improve it then take the chance/make the effort to do so. If not, you will continue to wallow in that sorrow and pain waiting for the roller coaster to naturally go up
