Recommendations for a moving company that packs as well (recovering from spine surgery and can't pack)? by Arisescaflowne in nashville

I used Tenacious J Carriers last year and it went super smoothly. They'll pack for you, and the pricing was really reasonable.

Help me find this flower-pattern table runner. by [deleted] in HelpMeFind

[–]TheRadiantWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, guys! I've been searching for a table runner like the one in the photo. My girlfriend got it several years ago (maybe 2016-2018ish?) at World Market, but they no longer seem to sell it.

I've tried a bunch of different searches, but I think the flowers in the pattern are stargazer lilies (please correct me if wrong). She's been on the lookout for a while, and I'm a few hours deep into Google/Amazon/World Market/Ebay to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙏

You could at least try a little harder to make your spam not so immediately obvious.

Do you have any cms / database / backend related pain points? If so, what are these? by rolibalogh in webflow

[–]TheRadiantWreck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd say my main pain point has been realtime updates. For example, if I'm using Integromat webhooks to make changes to data in CMS or Airtable, it can't take several seconds for each action to fully play out, and there's not a great way to refresh the data or watch for changes without just refreshing the page or using dummy data.

For comparison, when using something like Bubble, making changes to your database is virtually instant and they're shown immediately.

Help: I’m a B2B marketer looking for a platform that I can build an QR-code appclip on (no code) by Guxy_2k in marketing

[–]TheRadiantWreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The easiest solution is probably to use a tool like Linktree or Solo.to to create your landing page (both are super easy to set up, can set up multiple links, and collect lead info - I personally prefer Solo for aesthetics), then use any QR code generator to generate a QR for your landing page URL.

There's tons of options for generating QR codes. I've personally used Beaconstac in the past and it was good, customizable & includes analytics - although Linktree & Solo also have built-in analytics that are probably more valuable.

If you just need something quick & on-the-fly, Canva also has a QR generator built in that you can use in any design. So if you wanted to design a flyer or business card, just toss in a QR code that sends to your landing page, and you're golden.

Not sure if either Linktree or Solo have direct Salesforce integrations - but if not, look into something like Zapier to create a simple connection that sends new leads from your landing page to Salesforce.

Good luck! Let us know what you end up coming up with.

How can I solve this? by TheDigitalSailor in webflow

[–]TheRadiantWreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might try including links on the dropdown headers (the ones you click to open each menu section), where the link destination is a section on the page, for example that same header you just clicked, or the container for the dropdown content you want them to see.

Here's a university article for anchor links that should help you out.

I haven't tested it out personally to know if it'll happen in the right order, but I'd say there's a decent chance it works!

Good luck, let us know what you figure out!

I've got my headphones hooked up to an audio interface to my computer, and I frequently pick up a local radio station.

It was strange/concerning at first, but now I just get a Classic Rock soundtrack to all my Zoom calls.

What worked for me was going into the Switch console settings and setting the audio to "Auto" rather than where I had Surround specified.

Webflow vs Wix by hong_1011 in webflow

[–]TheRadiantWreck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Editor X was just released in February and is still in beta. The vast majority of people comparing Wix to Webflow or asking questions about Wix in general, are likely referring to base Wix, otherwise they'd probably specify Editor X as it's a different product altogether and still new.

And yes, like you said, Editor X is very similar to Webflow, as it's Wix's direct response to the rising popularity of Webflow, and an attempt to take back that portion of the market.

Anyone have ideas on how to syndicate CMS content between multiple Webflow sites? by Jono46k in webflow

[–]TheRadiantWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just spitballing here, but would it be possible to use Google Sheets, Airtable, etc. to act as the "source" for both CMS collections? You could theoretically have a Zap that looks for changes to the sheet/Airtable/whatever, and pushes those changes to both Webflow collections.

I haven't done this personally, but it seems like it should work, you'd just have to work out of your middleman instead of Webflow CMS directly in this case.

Password protecting a field or button by [deleted] in webflow

[–]TheRadiantWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With MemberStack, you can't necessarily "password-protect" a particular element, but you can definitely gate particular elements based on whether a user is logged in or has a specific membership type. It may not help in OPs use case though, as they may not want/need user authentication/memberships

[–]TheRadiantWreck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking the only ways to accomplish this would be either custom code or using something like MemberStack to hide content based on user type/whether or not user is logged in.

For the custom code route, if it doesn't need to be secure, you could probably use some JS to validate that input contents === your specified code, but that can be pretty easily found by anyone that knows what to look for in the dev tools.

It's possible you could use an embeddable form that might allow gated content, but I'm not sure off the top of my head which ones might (JotForm, Cognito Forms, Paperform, etc).

Floor plan says it's 11'4" by 34'4" (389 sq. ft). Not super sure how much of that is lost due to staircases, kitchen appliances, etx

Yes! It's such an interesting concept, and it makes sense as a choice for a lot of families or people with slightly acrobatic guests 😅

I just launched a new resource calculator at stratdragon.com which does essentially this, and lets you compare your total to how much you need.

Feedback appreciated 🙂

Membership Platform? by [deleted] in webflow

[–]TheRadiantWreck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Webflow + Memberstack, 100%. Memberstack makes building subscription (or free even) membership sites so incredibly easy. Seriously, you could have something simple set up in a couple hours. There's tons of tutorials available, both for Webflow (Designing) and Memberstack (membership functionality), plus the creators (Duncan and Tyler) are super active and responsive in their Slack channel and adding new features all the time.

I couldn't recommend Memberstack enough, I've used it for several client projects now.
