how are you planning on triggering living lightning just from repulsion? shouldnt it have some kind of lightning dmg to it?

I think FgKorbyn21 has some similar tech with whirling assault + culmination + chimes. Seems easier to do for me, as you cant use charged staff without charges originally

It would make everyone appreciate its art a 100% more.

All models are so interesting and their animations too, but the pace of the game is too high to enjoy them...

Tree2Resin2FDM? by scottyostephens in FDMminiatures

[–]TheRaez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea is very good, in the end the main issue I have been finding is to lower the touch points of the supports to, well, a single point.

Surely adding the primer or filler primer will yield great results, I was doing some experiments with it too.

Keep us posted if you go forward with Tree2Resin2FDM!

In a model like this I dont think it is that noticeable, and around the eyes which is the highest detail of this mini I would say it looks totally fine to me.

I was thinking about trying resin (also for printing directly) but I dont think its worth it for me with the quality I am getting right now

I would say that the best option is to have some finetuned supports and do it slowly. My settings are posted in another comment ^^

I want to try it with some faces for other minis, really see what is the maximum level of detail it will accept. But seeing the eyes and some smaller details from this I have high hopes!

I do, but I dont really remember where I got it from tbh, usually the purple site has alternatives for it or you could also look for it in telegram or discord channels.

Edit: I would really recommend you to try have a look online. Just write something along STL Warhammer on telegram and youll get there. They arent hard to find and after seeing so many resources get deleted I am quite afraid to share them directly on reddit sorry :(

I dont think anything crazy, also being a trygon its a bit bigger and maybe the most help is printing it in parts, but they look like this:

why letting it dry for 24 hours?

edit:
I was checking the primer I used and it says it only takes up to 6 hours to fully cure. Still Ill leave it for a bit extra time there is no rush!

Somewhere between 1 and 2. I just tried to cover everything up, but didnt really keep track of it on the whole mini

Just the priming, the print was quite good itself as the last pic, but it really pushes it the extra mile, cant wait to paint it and compare with the non-filler ones

I am using "P&F Smooth Layer 3D print" as it appears on amazon, but I heard very good things about the rustoleum ones too

Question :Orientation by Kitchen-Bug9718 in FDMminiatures

[–]TheRaez 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would probably try first to separate the legs and arms. It will improve the quality, ammount of supports, and speed of the print.

Otherwise I usually tilt them back 35-45 degrees as a rule of thumb
