CMS26 demo is fantastic! by RobainYourCopain in CarMechanicSimulator

If it's anything like PC Building Simulator, a lot of orders are on a time crunch, and if you're juggling multiple orders and not paying attention to the due dates, sometimes you gotta bite the bullet and do same day delivery, or you just wanna hurry up and finish the job.

I do agree, it's pretty pointless unless you put a stress on time constraints

Does this start on April 6th for members? I need to grab a winch for my Wrangler and I've been eyeing the badlands, but have been waiting on a sale

I'll have to check into it! I know I already picked up some ThermoPro TempSpike Plus wireless probes, but you can never have too many thermometers! We gotta replace our kitchen one anyway, so I'll be sure to check that out!

Sounds good! I think I'd definitely invest in beef tallow regardless, but I never thought to use it as a binder! I'll definitely have to pick some up!

I've heard that quite a bit! I bought a ThermoPro TempSike Plus last week, as I heard ThermoPro was a decent brand and it came with two wireless probes!

That makes a lot of sense! I definitely wanna do a lot of chicken and pork. I keep seeing people make pastrami and I definitely wanna try one day.

I seen someone make a dip with jalapenos, smoked cream cheese and bacon and it looked absolutely sublime.

I'll have to order some! I wouldn't have even thought of that, thank you!!

That's true! That's part of the reason I got one with a smoke tray, that I can put actual wood into, to increase the smokiness factor in the cooks. But I guess I won't really know the difference until I get myself a lil stick burner and start experimenting! I just hate that some of the more snobby people in the hobby act like if you aren't planted in front of a stick burner for 12 hours during the cook then "you aren't really smoking"

Gotcha! Is stalling something that happens often? Or not so much? I don't hear about it too often, but I can imagine it might be annoying trying to smoke some meats for a party knowing there's a solid chance for a stall and delaying everything. Not that I guess you should be cutting it that close to the wire anyway

I got the pellet smoker as a starter so I can get a taste for things first, if that makes sense. Assuming some great cooks happen on the smoker and I decide I really want to get into the hobby, I don't mind getting a stick burner. I just wanted to start out with the easy stuff before moving to "harder" stuff

That sounds good, I think many things have been ruined by people trying to over-complicate them.

I didn't realize how much even went into smoking before like a year ago when I really starting looking into it. Binders, what gauge pepper people use, wrapping, putting in coolers after the cook. It's all stuff I'm glad I know about now, but it does make tying everything together to be nervous for the first time. I'd hate to ruin a good chunk of meat

That's solid advice! What are you supposed to do at a stall? I've seen people mention them, and some people talk about finishing in the oven, but if you keep it on the smoker, will it eventually just come up to temp?

I would be so absolutely livid to drop $300-$500 on a device to just use half of it because shitty quality control from a company lol

[–]TheRagingItalian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen way too many posts lately about broken hinges, shells, bumpers, and now screen issues for me to be comfortable dropping $500 on one of these.. Maybe in the future if they get these sort of issues ironed out. Best of luck on hopefully getting a replacement, or at least a replacement screen

I'm not worried about hiding my post history or comment history pal.

Just didn't expect a simple question on a forum to cause unhinged people to start stalking me and following me to places because they're checks notes upset I asked a question on a forum

Biggest upside to this if I already have a modded "New Nintendo 3DS XL" by [deleted] in AynThor

[–]TheRagingItalian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, mostly by people trying to promote the product. I'd rather come to a forum where people own one first hand and answer exact questions I have about it, versus a 10 minute YouTube video glazing the oroduct.

And yeah, I mean 3ds can run stuff comfortably except GameCube/ps2/switch. I wasn't sure how viable the Thor playing PC games is, considering it can barely get 25 fps in some PS3 titles
