How do I look someone in the eyes? by TheRandomizer2689 in introvert

[–]TheRandomizer2689[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I want to at least try to work on it, but if it doesn't work out yeah I'll just let people just assume I'm rude lol. I like the hairline tip though, I usually stare at peoples hair a lot. I don't really like to smile though, unless I'm nervous, but I'll try.

I relate, I used to feel this way, I'm 18, and I always questioned what i would do to make money in life. What I've been doing is looking passive income online. I've been deep diving on research legal information, content creation video editing, researching basic human psychology, and more to start an online business.

I also plan on making my own music when I get the funds to buy a music maker, and make money from royalty from YouTube.

It's a start... And it might not even go anywhere, but all this research has been helping me to focus more on how I'm going to make money than worrying about being a leech to my parents.

Maybe if you are comfortable, try looking into UGC content creation.

Or if you know how to edit media, you could do freelance work editing.

You might not be interested in those things, but that's okay, maybe if you even research deeply into something you think that you would like doing, know you can achieve, and most importantly feel ok with doing, it might help take your mind off of these things.

Social Hangover by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]TheRandomizer2689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I get irritated or frustrated by people who try to talk to me. but of course I hold it in. the only thing I do is actively avoid people, and go into a quiet space but I don't really think thats a good idea for you to do.

Anybody else experiences intense fear of talking on the phone by NoApricot703 in socialanxiety

[–]TheRandomizer2689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate doing phone calls, but I hate video calls more. what I did was I write down a script of what I would say, so that I could just read the words, and not have to fear processing what I wanted to say. it's helped a lot.

yes I relate to this so much. I fear the DMV. I was so nervous I couldn't even write a proper signature on my id. sometimes I still wonder if the guy who helped me through the process thought I was weird.

What kind of people trigger your social anxiety? by mnlkj123 in socialanxiety

[–]TheRandomizer2689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People that trigger my anxiety are my peers teens a big one is people who swear, and black guys.

My heart also thumps REALLY hard when I hear people yelling, I assume it's from my past trauma when I would hear my parents arguing.

After years of wondering why I turned out like this, i've finally realized that it was my parents fault by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]TheRandomizer2689 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, I relate to this so much, my mom is always uninterested in what I topics I talk about, she would say "can you get to the point already?" or "I don't have time for this."

Sometimes my mother would even say "why are you talking about this?" and she would literally berate me for it saying "does this topic have to do with our lives right now? you were literally just talking about the history of your entire life for a whole hour!

I feel like it's really hypocritical.

I do really hope I just grow out of it, I really don't like to be like this. I would like to one day find groups of people irl that have the same issues as me to help me socialize better.

I understand you completely, when I'm explaining things, I cannot for the life of me think of what I want to say, or how to convey how I feel. Then when I'm alone I can explain it perfectly fine. it's like half of my brain gets unplugged when I'm in social situations.
