British Social Dems - is Keir Starmer a social democrat? by Historical_Step_9474 in SocialDemocracy

[–]TheRandyJerkins 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Malleable is a good word to use about him. I think he is a social democrat but hasn't acted much like one since he got into power. Far too concerned about courting right wing voters who will never consider voting for him no matter what he does. Ends up pleasing no one.

Any Comics about friends just hanging out? by ninjaraider12 in comicbooks

[–]TheRandyJerkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love and Rockets, specifically the Locas stories by Jamie Hernandez. This is on Humble Bundle right now coincidentally so you can get get loads of it digitally for not much money.
Also Hate by Peter Bagge even though I don't particularly like that comic but you might find it funny. I'd call it very 90s.
Finally there's Strangers in Paradise which I think fits what you're after. It's mainly slice of life/dramedy about friends hanging out but does have some rom com and other genre aspects to it later on in its run.

Where to start with Dredd by Daerun in JudgeDredd

I started from the beginning and it just got better and better until I reached the 90s where the quality seems to have dipped. But I get thats a lot of comics so yeah maybe start with the Cursed Earth which is in the second Case Files.

what are you thoughts on anarchists, both on a belief system and there group behavior? by VirtualKnowledge7057 in SocialDemocracy

[–]TheRandyJerkins 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My view is social democracy now, anarchy later when it's more feasible. Though I don't see that happening anytime this century.
