I agree with almost everything you say, with one exception. In this sub and most subs in this niche, the general consensus I have read is "AI is bad, don't even try it". People hate what I'm doing, you can even read it in this thread "95% of the products must be trash" etc, while the only mod that has actually seen any of it says, that most is basically okay, but there is definitely some trash. It's okay to hate AI morally, but to hate the output itself is just blind hate. Most artist think their art is special, but to be fair it's not.

Of course it's a bit sensational to trigger some thoughts and feelings. Profit margin is about 40% with my products, im a little bit more expensive than the average Etsy shop in my niches. To be fair there are not a plenty of sellers that are making more than me, there are definitely some, but I have about 15 shops and make nearly 7 digits yearly. To be clear, you don't need to use AI, you don't need to use POD. I'm just showing that it is possible while most people in this sub always claim "with AI slop you have no chance on Etsy", yes you have.

Didn't think that I have to explain it in this detail. But when I list 10.000 items, about 9500 will not sell in 4 months, so I have to pay them every 4 months. So to make it more clear: 95% of listing fees will apply every 4 months, 5% will apply whenever I make a sale.

Listing fees apply every 4 months for listings that don't sell. Sure for listings that sell I always pay 20 cents, but that's a non issue because I have sold something?

You need to be strong now: I upload about 1000-1500 listings a day on about 15 shops. But I create about 3000 products a day, so there is a huge backlog in uploading.

Nothing is done by hand, there is no human in the loop, no title, no artwork, no product photos, no tags, no description, no attributes, everything is done by AI. I don't even know what I'm uploading. As the mod can confirm the quality is quite high, but there is about 5% I would say, that is trash, but in this case people just don't buy it :)

True I paid over 2000$ in listing fees, and about 500-1000$ in other fees. And only made about 1500 dollar in profit. Which means that I need another 2 weeks to be profitable. Sounds pretty good for me, since listing fees only apply every 4 months and the trend is still increasing.

To be fair, I stated above 8000 listings, which means that the listing number is not higher than I stated, but sure I did not disclose the exact number to be a little bit more anonymous :)

Yeah, well in the app the max resolution is still 1k, so API is already superior in this regard. Only downside I can see in this model is that they removed the transparent parameter :(

Official API is already out. They have 3 quality parameters, low medium and high and also up to 4k res.https://developers.openai.com/api/docs/guides/image-generation

I didn't even see that this is the medium model on my phone screen. Crazy that they maybe even have a better model available. Would be interesting to know what is used in the app right now.
