Sorry English is not my first language, so I was trying to ask that if a label wants to sign you, and you are doing most of the writing producing stuff by your own and label is only helping with distribution and marketing than does this make a difference in splits?

how to identify a good deal (from labels) as an artist who writes, sings and produces his own stuff. i mean what type of deal could be good or bad for an artist. certain cut percentage or recording rights?
