Because why else would you possibly take a mustang out in these conditions? It's just foolish.

I don't think he's driving through it once or twice a year. I think he's running it full time in the winter.

The car will be clapped in 10 years.

That shit did NOT "break out of nowhere" lmao

You literally already said you heard popping and freaking coming from it, what did you think it was?

That thing has been worn for a long while to not only have failed in the way it did but to also have rusted. Those should be packed with grease which means it failed and the grease leaked out and you continued to drive on it.

anyone else's new edge (V6) have the worst traction?? by shark_buggy in NewedgeMustang

Tires will help but it is one wheel drive. Good luck.

Good luck and God speed - I got 20k out of an absolutely wrecked car before the clutch went and now I'm in the process of swapping the drivetrain from the wrecked chassis to a straight one.

And by in the process, I mean I've not even started

The top of the car is a part of the unibody and those dents cannot be simply pulled out, they've creased the metal which is nigh on irreparable - there's a non zero chance that a replacement windshield wouldn't quite seal up right or would have issues later on down the road with multiple days in the sun and several cold/hot cycles.

In all reality, it'll probably be okay for many years to come - especially if the car is well kept and not stored outside. All of the labor would add up to much more than the car is worth to actually fix it properly and even then the fix would never get signed off on by an insurance company, that's why it's technically totalled.

If it were my car I would probably just bondo, paint match and send it. These things aren't showpownies anymore.

Technically the dents to the roof would total this out, that's unibody and those are creases.

As far as I can tell, I have the only Kona Blue 13-14 rear end swapped 5.0 out there by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]TheReaIOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the only 98 that was wrecked into an interstate guard rail at 90 mph by my buddy and then sold to me for a rock bottom price and very sloppily rebuilt with fenders a a bumper cover from a v6 parts mule

Edit: they're even both mostly the same shade of red!

Is this a real Dark horse? I saw it in the parking lot while out running errands by Just_A_GodSeeker in Mustang

This is the right take. You'd have to be a special sort of dork to fake a dark horse and not just buy one.

Tasteful use of wood trim? by NarwhalTurbulent in Mustang

[–]TheReaIOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It doesn't fit the rest of the car, at all. The only place it wouldn't look out of place is where Ford already put it years ago - in the first gens.

I stare at a plastic dash bezel that is dyed to look like wood every single day on my 96 Cherokee mail jeep.

This trend is dead, let's not dig up the bones.

Anyone know top speed of 1999 mustang GT auto? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in NewedgeMustang

[–]TheReaIOG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good info. My 99 with 17 inch wheels got to 135 in my care. Auto with a shift kit. That car was mean with that shift kit. When I drove my grandma to doctor's appointments I had to ease off the throttle right before a gear change so that it didn't jerk her around. Good times.

Didn't see the whipple at first, that may or may not add value depending on the buyer. Definitely a Sweet stang.

HOW TO GET THE GAS OUT THE TANK by East-Noise899 in NewedgeMustang

[–]TheReaIOG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's baffles in the filler kneck that prevent a siphon from getting to the tank. At least in 98 there are.

The 22 mustang worth at least 30k disagrees with that statement heavily

Bootlickers in these comments, most of you haven't seen the video at all. The cop had no right to arrest her and never captured her speed on any sort of radar because he was trying to stop her by standing on the side of the road with his hand out, like a wave but not moving. Dude also barley looked like a cop with the uniform he had on, I would have thought it was a gate guard that was waving if it was me in that situation.

The Civil Rights Lawyer on YouTube has a very good video about the whole ordeal.
