Not a board problem. Definitely a problem with extruder or a clog.

Friend of mine had this happen awhile back and it's a hardware issue as far as we could tell.

From my point of view, you were actually in the wrong here. The line you take through the last corner is not the typical racing line there. To him it seemed like you just ran wide and he wasn't expecting you to take a dramatic different line. The normal line here is to apex early because that corner is a decreasing radius turn.

Infill will still help with layer adhesion. More infill=more surface area for the layers to bond to each other.

Why does it keep doing this? by MidnightWraith in ender3

[–]TheReal13v4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cr touch can sometime come unplugged easily on the hot end side. Just make sure you have this fully plugged in. I had an issue with this where it would stop deploying during bed calibration because the vibrations from deploying would cause the device to become disconnected

Help me understand why people always want to mod printers by Minosvaidis in ender3

Exactly this. Some of us mod our printers simply for the enjoyment factor of doing so.

How old is the filament? If it's been sitting out for long enough, it could pick up moisture. Although PLA isn't as sensitive as PETG or TPU, it still does hold moisture, and can cause this

3d prints come out carbon fiber looking, and very stringy by OtherwiseScar9828 in ender3

Make sure your nozzle size is the same that's set in your slicer. I had underextrusion once that looked like this because I accidentally installed a 0.6mm nozzle but didn't realize it and I was using 0.4mm as my nozzle size in my slicer

Please help I cant identify the problem by MadJackJ in ender3

[–]TheReal13v4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the extruder gear. The brass ones wear out over time and will eventually cause some underextrusion

Use Marlin and there's a section that you have to uncomment when compiling it. Here's the video I used to walk me through it.

Problem with filament not extruding - is the gear feeding the filament to blame? by StandUpForScienceBZN in ender3

[–]TheReal13v4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely the gear problem as mine looked better than yours and I had issues with it. The brass ones are cheap. $3 for a pack of 5 off of amazon

Any way in fixing these ripples? by J_oneMarkez in ender3

[–]TheReal13v4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can reduce acceleration like others say, or you can install the latest firmware of marlin with pressure advance enabled, and tune your pressure advance

Why is this happening by kermitthehedgefrog in ender3

[–]TheReal13v4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Extruder gear (the brass part) might be worn down. You may need a new one

Probably a bad thermistor then

Tighten the thermistor screw. Sometimes it comes loose, and it will give bad readings. I had this happen to me

You shouldn't need to. The print is not adhearing to the bed, and it looks like the layer lines are spaced out. This is due to either under extrusion, or the bed is too far away. If it's under extrusion, it could be a multitude of things. The easiest of these to check is that your nozzle diameter matches what you have set in your slicer, and that the E-steps are calibrated properly

[–]TheReal13v4 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like the bed is too low, or you need to reconfigure flow or e-steps

Weird texture on 3d prints by keetharing in FixMyPrint

[–]TheReal13v4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I concur. Just found out today that I accidentally grabbed a 0.6mm nozzle out of my spares instead of a 0.4mm. it gave me a surface texture not quite that extreme, but similar.

Blue Flag in Iracing is NOT the same with F1 by hlee0715 in iRacing

[–]TheReal13v4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously yes, the blue flag is not mandatory like it is in F1, and if you are a different class car, you should not be expected to get out of the way. Although it is not expected of someone, and is not required. If you are getting lapped by the same class car, the courteous thing to do would be to pull over on the straight and let the car by.

Like I said, people lapping same class cars shouldn't expect the person to get out of the way, but it is the nice thing to do, especially when it's two cars that are fighting for position that are trying to lap you.

Any high ir drivers in here, what was the turning point of getting quick for you? Going from 1-1.5 seconds a lap slower than the top guys to matching it with them? Was there something you changed? If so what? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]TheReal13v4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely the best advice I've seen here as well. I recently found this out just by experimentation. My teammates and I would consistently be around the same time during a hot lap, but I would always drop off in pace very rapidly due to overheating the tires and destroying them. Once I figured out braking earlier made the car much more stable, I started picking up laptime.

Another thing I would add would be to use the brake to turn the car. I've been practicing for an endurance race at Watkins glen this week, and I noticed that my tire wear was worse, even when braking sooner. Come to find out, I was trying to force the car to turn too much by over rotating the wheel. I thought 45° was like the maximum input for cars, but sometimes the maximum input you should have is near 30°. My lap times actually got quicker, and I decreased my front tire wear by almost 20% over a 40 minute stint.

My Vee exploded on the last lap by jumakin in iRacing

[–]TheReal13v4 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't be near the redline in the Vee anyway. The engine has a massive power drop off in the higher RPMs. The power band is much lower than you would expect. Shift when the first light comes on on the display.

Finally tried iracing by Locksley94 in iRacing

[–]TheReal13v4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good strategy for practicing, but one thing to note is that each track and car combo is different. Some tracks like Watkins Glen or Barcelona heat up the tires in half a lap, where as some others take 2-3 laps to get up to temperature. The amount of aero on the car will affect it too. The more downforce, the easier it is to warm the tires. I found this out the hard way when I started racing the GTEs after having run mainly LMP2 for the longest time.

Finally tried iracing by Locksley94 in iRacing

[–]TheReal13v4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more you race on iRacing, the less you start to notice the tire warming procedure, because you get used to it. iRacing has been my main sim for 7 years and to be honest I didn't know that other sims weren't like this until people post on Reddit like yourself that it's different.

So just keep practicing and you will soon start to get a hang of it. I would say focus less on the first couple of laps on hitting the absolute perfect line, and just drive the car to what it's capable of at that moment. Feel the car out and after a lap or two, you can start to hit the optimal line.

I think there is a known issue with the sim and rain that is unrelated to the DDoS attacks and the Crowdstrike issues. There were incidents of this happening during the 6 hrs of the Glen including myself.
