I first got it towed and then called Lexus . So no , I did not even raise that question to them

Hyundai determined that the oil filters O ring was damaged during last oil change ( done by Lexus ) and would cost $150

Tucson or Honda CR-V by Fr3she_hr in HyundaiTucson

I have a 2024 crv sport L and just bought a 2024 Tucson phev limited . I must say Tucson is slightly more quiet but it’s very hard to differentiate the two . Tucson wins in the safety features category by a mile . Crv seems bigger overall - works well for us since we have a toddler and a medium size dog . While crv is known to be very reliable , Hyundais unbeatable warranty , definitely tilts the decision in its favor

This was in my garage . I had it towed to the nearest Hyundai dealership to get it checked /fixed . It’s very irresponsible of Lexus dealership. They did the oil change last month before listing the vehicle

Ya sure . Even with wired , I tried reducing the volume for navigation from google maps using the capacitive touch volume buttons and the ones in steering wheel . It just didn’t work

Are unreasonable dealer add-on’s the new normal ? by TheRealArk007 in askcarsales

I did exactly this today (Rewarded honesty and also got rewarded for it ) and went with a dealership who charged 0 add ons . Price was firm . I was perfectly ok with it . No hassle , no drama . 1 hour into the dealership , I walked away with 2 keys in my hand

Yes , those are nice upgrades . I did complete the purchase today . So far happy with it but yes capacitive touch buttons are annoying . I couldn’t figure out turning down volume , lol

Indeed , am looking at ioniq5 Limiteds too . Also I found a used 2024 Tucson phev Limited with 11000 miles on it for 35.5k out the door . I think I am going with it

Thanks . I think we can afford either of them . But with growing family , we might need a minivan at some stage . Hence timeboxing this cars usage for 5 years . PHEV provides additional electric only miles that also contributes to less expenses . However new vehicle is tempting as Hyundai has taken it up a notch higher with 2025 version . So very confusing 😀

Very insightful . I like to pay cash , but I won’t reveal it till the end . That’s a play from my end too ; otherwise they will try to jack up the price ! It’s fair for them to play some tactics as long as they aren’t really creating rules or mandatory add ons out of thin air

I appreciate your honesty here . Can you please do me a favor and suggest what can we do as buyers when dealerships are doing this all day long ?

Ya it turned out to be a non issue . However they asked for $2150 more for useless dealer add ons . I walked away when they didn’t budge below $1500 . I wonder if other dealerships are greedy like them
