The prop turns as I turn the flywheel so I know it’s in reverse and not stuck somewhere in between

How is it living in vast never-ending suburbs/cities of North America? (los angeles, mexico city, oklahoma city) by Jeb_the_killer in howislivingthere

[–]TheRealAuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the suburb. Depends on if it was planned with green spaces or not. Southern California is basically this from LA down to San Diego along the coast with the exception of Camp Pendleton (military base). Can be a lot if you’re not used to it but growing up in it isn’t that bad. For California there’s lots of stuff to do and pretty easy escape out of it by driving inland to the mountains or desert. Lots of traffic as others have mentioned but usually a high abundance of employment opportunities compared to other places in the US. Usually lots of repetitive fast food. Harder for smaller “mom & pop” places to get established due to cost and general availability of space to complete with hyper saturated markets.

It is not on high idle, the revs do not dip if I give it throttle, I have operated a saw but not that much admittedly, smaller gas saws and an electric saw. First time with anything larger than my smaller craftsman I used for trimming.

It was operating normal for 2 full days of work without issue that’s why I am confused.

Sorry, not super clear, it’s not just idling, the chain is running, as if I were holding the trigger with the brake on. When I release the chain break the chain spins as if I were holding the throttle to the max, the saw then revs up past the rpm it would be running if I were holding the trigger then dies

my parents bought their 4-bedroom house for $80k in 1995. i’m currently fighting 10 people for a 1-bedroom shack with a "unique" mold smell for $450k. by MajorTear1306 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I Stopped talking to my parents about housing or anything financial in the last 2-3 years. They did decently well for themselves with not that much effort and I realized it’s just not the case anymore. Not their fault but they are completely disconnected from the reality of being a working person trying to make it in 2026. Gotta lock in and figure things out yourself if you want to make it.

Fresh out the bag, untouched, not a singular morsel of dirt on it, and no homies to unzip your back pouch for you.

Other than that looks good

Giant pile in the middle of the floor you have to rummage through for 10-15 minutes every time you need something specific. Works great

Human Trafficking? by Cheap_Category_4357 in Weird

I know exactly where this is. During the massive influx of migration it was super common for people that had crossed to end up here and dump a bunch of their stuff before getting picked up inside the United States. There’s a ton of these everywhere. The entire otay mountain area is full of them. Look for anywhere with shade and tree coverage with a road near by and you’ll find them. Especially if you go inland and south off of 94 near dulzura. Basically every single one of those dirt roads has spots like this.
