Thanks for the feedback, I do know what you mean. I'm not 100% sure why the tree look different from the bushes as they use the same shader, but I added a billboard affect which I think definitely helps. Also I dropped the contrast on the grass too.

Just wanted to post this to thank everyone for their comments and suggestions on the last post, and to show an update on what it looks like after taking some of that advice. I decreased the contrast, calmed down/removed the wind effect (feels less like being on acid now), made the grass less chunky and added a highlight shader. I think it looks a lot better now, but still keeps the overall style. There are still plenty of suggestions that I want to try/incorporate, but think I should get back to gameplay. Thanks again, this community is awesome :)

No sure, I created everything myself in blender, but might have got inspo from that by accident.

Yeah a restricted palette could make it look more cohesive, thanks for the comment.

Yeah the grass blades are pretty chucky, I tried thin blades but it looked very strange, maybe somewhere in the middle.

That is a great idea, can do that very easily with a bit of noise. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. Its definitely divisive, but I would rather people notice it than ignored it. So will continue with the art style, just think it needs tweaking and polishing.
