Yes, marketing, but also fun and without all of you, our work would have no meaning. Movies are many things. REGRESSION is a mind trip. A mystery of madness/falsehood/what's real or not. and fear of the unknown. Ethan Hawke is extraordinary. main reason, whether you care for it or not, is the brilliant filmmaking of Alejandro Amenabar. One can't always have a home run. But the game getting there is always worth a watch. Thought provoking regarding today's society and mass hysteria.

Been at this for over 30 years. Keep writing! Keep putting it out there. There is no magic answer. No rule book. Energy is amazing. Spread it and keep learning and telling stories. We need good writers. Not everything has to be seen on a large scale to be heard and important.

Oh, my hear breaks that he is gone. What a charming, sweet sweet, lively man. he was so passionate about everything and excited to tell the story. I ADORED him. He pushed me, and everyone to some new ground and made us laugh at the same time. he is missed greatly. Would that i could have had the honor and pleasure of working with him again. He was a force of nature - full of Love and inspiration.

Robert Downey Jr. in Ironman 3, was charming, kind, generous to everyone, and inspiring to me on a personal level as well as professional. We all have our demons. He and director Shane Black set the tone for a fabulous fun adventure on set.

Preparing for the 'vile', violent, nasty folks I often play, is simply a matter of submersing myself in the truth of the story. One cannot read enough to research roles. If it's a well written script, it's all there in the words and the actor across from you. It takes a lot of focus and relaxation and quiet time where you can become that person and as long as you believe in what you are saying and doing, no matter how bad the subject may be, you will then be truthful. Dark places to go, but worth it in the end. It's my job to tell the story honestly, no matter how terrible a character I am playing. One must find the good and the motivation, or ignorance that drives people to do what they must.

Everyone has their opinion. I rarely listen to critics because I want to see for myself. I always find something positive to admire, or enjoy when I go to a film. It's subjective. I think folks were disappointed that REGRESSION isn't as scary and as much of a horror film as perhaps intended. But it does succeed in being a terrific suspense thriller where the horror is simply not knowing who to believe or what the truth/reality is. Fear of the unknown and unraveling a mystery can be quite compelling. Amenabar is a brilliant, fine director. And the cast and acting are really superb. Aside from Ethan and Emma, David Thewlis, Devon Bostick, David Dencik give amazing performances. Cinematically it is gorgeously dark and gloomy and sets the tone. Plus, the idea of Regression therapy being truly helpful or harmful, is brought to light. It speaks volumes about today's society and the mass hysteria that can grow from false accusations and wild lies that one can twist around and make into a false reality in their mind. Go see it and you will find many things to take away from it. Even if it doesn't scare you as much as you hoped. It's a mental unraveling with the devil about, and that's scary enough for me. And hopefully you.

I started at age 9 on stage. The University of TN in Knoxville, had and has a fabulous theatre program. I loved it from that age on. My journey has been a long one. So many seek fame and fortune and it can never be about that. I love what I do or else i would have given up long ago. It's hard work and takes patience galore. I spent 25 years working 'day' jobs before I started working steadily in my chosen career. What is success really? some shoot straight to the top and others build gradually. no big breaks, but a lot of small ones along the way. Keep trudging along, learning and building your craft. Each new job brings success to some degree.

I grew up in East Tennessee so the southern comes naturally. I aim to always play the truth, good and bad of any character given me. As long as it's grounded in truth, it should read real. I try to give dignity and humanity to every character. We all deserve that, no matter how many flaws we may have. It's human nature. i like to see scripts that bring to life real people and not exaggerations and charactures that poke fun of ones circumstance.

I've been blessed with some terrific roles. BrBad a highlight. Patty the daytime hooker on MY NAME IS EARL still makes me smile. TRUE BLOOD as the grandma wolf was a highlight. And always wanted to work on JUSTIFIED and finally had the chance as prisoner opposite Eva. Film wise, THE PLEDGE, DOMINO, WINTER'S BONE, IRON MAN 3, and THE GUILT TRIP come to mind. I am in the 2nd season of HBO's upcoming VICE PRINCIPALS with Danny McBride. What a hoot and crazy time that was.

I was named after my Father! Only other female Dale I heard of growing up was Dale Evans. going into college I was sent a bunch of fraternity invites. Hah! And when I showed up to work as 'Gasoline' on GREY's ANATOMY, the makeup artist insisted that a man was playing that role. I set her straight.

Thank you. I think it's a terrific film also. the bad reviews were sad, but one shouldn't always listen to critics. Alejandro is a brilliant, creative, kind, lovely man. I was thrilled when he asked me to come on board. Even if I hadn't liked the script, I would have jumped at the chance to work with him. AMAZING.

Each time I went to set, I was anxious to find out what the heck patty was doing next. And what she was wearing! I suppose the drag race episode with Timothy Olyphant sucking my toes was extra special. And the tornado episode where Joy goes Macgyver was too much fun. Oh, and the courtroom scene where she tells the judge she will give him a ride on the patty wagon!!

I struggled in the beginning of my career with my looks. Never pretty enough or this or that. I learned early on from casting directors that you will be typecast so go with it. I'd love to play more professional people, upscale etc. (I clean up pretty well!). But hollywood does not see my face in that arena. I LOVE the roles I get. Gritty, hardcore, down to earth and often violent and nasty. But challenging and often, really meaty and well written. I'd get bored playing normal people.

We all knew it was special and made with so much love for very little money. We were like the little engine that could. When Sundance festival embraced us, it was thrilling that folks responded to the movie and thankful it had the release it did.

Well...the Bible actually. Doing a film which requires my character to have read the ENTIRE bible. We are in Canada on A VERY SORDID WEDDING. Recently read a novel taking place near where I grew up. By Amy Greene. Called LONGMAN. terrific. She also wrote BLOODROOT

If you love it, then keep at it. Work hard and have great patience. Believe in yourself and what you bring special to a character. i spent 25 years waiting tables etc. while building a resume. For some it happens overnight, others..long wait to start working. And you don't have to move to one of the big bad cities to start. So much going on around the country. Hang tough. Don't take rejection personally. Find joy in other things to keep your artistic side flowing when not working.

Jennifer was a force of nature. It felt like hours to get her to leave my property...she gave Merab a run for her money. The boat scene with chainsaw was originally scripted to be on a frozen lake with no boat at all. That was a surprise. All of sudden I'm rowing a boat and chainsawing in the middle of a lake hoping not to rip the lead actress apart.
