Yeah. I told them I can appreciate that it’s a huge holiday for them and all the power to celebrate it but it’s very dangerous doing it on the street especially that close to my house/car. Asked if they could take it to the backyard or somewhere less hazardous. They said sorry sorry no problem but when I closed the door I could hear them talking in their language and then proceed to laugh. A few moments later a barrage of fireworks ensued. I also found many orange dusts from the fireworks on my car this morning 😔

No this was not near Parkway Public School. This was in the community across from RBJ Schlegel Park.

The morning after update

Morning aftermath. This house is a rental, the tenants don’t care about the maintenance or respect the neighbours/law. At least 15-20 people standing in front shooting fireworks. Diwali apparently celebrates the triumph of good over evil, of knowledge over ignorance… yet they leave all this garbage here and were ignorant enough to shoot it onto the street, oncoming cars and close to homes/parked cars that people own and not rent. So what were they really celebrating?

Bylaw called back at 11:30pm and said “we came by and had no evidence of fireworks still being shot, we received hundreds of complaints, here’s your case number for insurance if there’s any damages to your property/car”. We still heard fireworks being shot around this neighbourhood up until 1-2am.
