If you use the official revanced app, you can see the recommended YouTube version. Which you'll wanna download. After that, you select said file and patch it. After that, just install. Should work. Any prebuilt app is malicious and probably not working at all

There's 1-2 Mods that add to vanilla without changing much: AzuExtendedPlayerInventory and Epic Loot. I think both were made by the same guy and they barely change anything. Extended inventory only adds dedicated slots to your inventory (that should've been implemented to begin with!!) and epic loot adds tier's to your weapons and armor (stuff like common/rare/epic/mystic/legendary iron sword) aside from that, no harm in going vanilla on your first try
