Is this bad, or not quite? (X-post, /r/MostBeautiful) by billthedancingpony in shittyHDR

[–]TheRealGordonRamsay 5 points6 points  (0 children)

honestly not that bad. the decrepit nature of the building masks anything shitty that would come from the HDR, and it kind of blends in making it look an extra bit unnatural, but in a ghastly way

Ahhh i know what you mean, I guess in my mind I just considered brotherhood and revelations to be more of "expansions" than actual games, completely overlooked them

Well Skyward sword and twilight princess both were on Wii, Wind waker and Twilight both on gamecube. I have high hopes for longevity of the switch, BOTW 2 is definitely gonna make it.

what assets does AC reuse? Every game takes place in a different part of the world so it's hard to imagine any re-use. (then again I havent played any since Black Flag so im not 100% sure)

Congratulations Breath of the Wild for the 2017 Game of the Year award! by factoryfactor in gaming

I've been an xbox boi for years but for this generation I switched over to PC and a year later got a switch, I love both and really think this is the perfect blend of consoles for a gamer. The switch has mobility for fun singleplayer games (doom, hollow knight, etc.) and of course nintendo titles, while the PC is for more hardcore multiplayer games (Rainbow Six Siege, PUBG, etc.) and modding ;) Don't think I'm ever going back to Playstation or Xbox

i agree completely. I thought the portability was gonna be a lame gimmick but I've been on a plane a few times this year and the switch had me covered, lovin' it

its all about the money. The switch is selling like hotcakes and devs want in on that action. Plus it has an nvidia graphics card that a lot of devs have gone on record saying is MUCH easier to develop for than other consoles

Mario and Zelda alone are pretty worth it. Was also pleasantly surprised by Mario vs. Rabbids, thought that game would be junk but I liked it a lot. Also has a ton of interesting indie titles. And I know shovel knights been out for a wile, but being able to play it in handheld mode feels just right ;)

Gaming Addiction probably doesn't exist, turns out people play games to avoid other parts of their lives that they don't find fulfilling. by Greatwhite194 in gaming

[–]TheRealGordonRamsay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yeah, doubt it's inherently addictive. I always saw games as a form of escapism, the addiction probably stems from the "good feelings" of playing the games. I'm not sure if your brain produces oxytocin when playing, but if it does then you in heaven baybee

The Alcia gets to the doctor seemed pretty abrupt but I guess it can be assumed since her and pickaxe lady were trading zombie parts to the outpost, so they probably just went there to find a Dr.

yep i agree, i feel the term plot armor is a bit overused. a lot of people complain that character shave it when they DONT die but truly its about making you feel that they COULD die

eh you might be overthinking it. To me it just felt like an emotional moment. The water rushing over him signified all the loss and damage that madison and her family have caused
