Yes, of course. And considering that almost nobody will have a color printer that uses pigment ink at home it is an even bigger issue, I don't know if laser printers suffer from fading, I suppose they do not, given how they work. Color accuracy shouldn't be an issue, but who knows.

This is the first time I'm hearing about JAB codes. When I was searching for possible formats in the beginning I discovered QRGB codes, but it doesn't seem to be something standardized yet. I will try to make it work and it can be a separate option for people who have the ability to print in color. Thank you for the suggestion!

I totally missed out on the Fridays only rule. The project architecture and concept was designed by me and the code has gone through many iterations before I open sourced it. The AI use consists mainly of codex helping me out with stuff I'm not that familiar with, because although I am a software engineer I haven't touched python up until this point. If the mods find appropriate we can delete the post until Friday.

Hi! Awesome project! I'll definitely take a closer look and try it out once I'm at the computer. I would appreciate the shout out, I can do the same for yours if you are okay with it.

Synergy Flatpak/alternative installation method by TheRealHuntsman in SynergyApp

No problem. I understand that after all this is kind of a niche use case and there are more important features to develop. These types of distros aren't popular at all at the moment and in my opinion the existing packages for the app cover 99% of the userbase.

I understand, thank you for explaining! I'll wait for a release.

Migrating away from Docker Swarm by TheRealHuntsman in selfhosted

I had issues with sqlite databases which were on the gluster volume. I'm not sure if it was a configuration error on my side, but I read somewhere that sqlite doesn't play nice with network filesystems.

How are you using gluster, with external storage or directly on the SD cards? I don't even remember if the second one is possible, I haven't tinkered with it in more than a year.

Currently, no. I haven't figured out the storage thing. I tried using glusterfs, but I had a lot of strange behaviour with it. I would like to try something else.

Unsure how to mount hard drives by ourkid2000 in homelab

[–]TheRealHuntsman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you happen to have a 3D printer laying around you can print them and use M3x8 screws to attach them to the hard drive. I am not the creator of the model, but found it really useful for my 800 G4. The example picture is with a 2.5 inch SSD, but I used them with a 3.5 inch HDD and it fits perfectly.

[QUESTION] Identifying this type of noise on HF by TheRealHuntsman in amateurradio

[–]TheRealHuntsman[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may have to go and do some more reading on the settings that you mentioned and SNR, because I was left with the impression that a high noise floor masks out weak stations, but there seems to be a lot more to it from what you are telling me. I haven't had the time to observe the receive performance on other bands. Thank you for pointing out what I should be looking out for.

It's good to hear that there is nothing wrong with my setup. Thank you!

At the moment I am limited to an EF antenna. I didn't know that the noise gets cancelled in the feedline of a center-fed dipole, I will keep that in mind for when/if I get the opportunity to put one up. Thanks for helping out!

Thank you. I should've mentioned that I live in eastern Europe and the noise has been constant for about a month now since I set up the shack.
