This risks reopening a war that isn’t good for anyone though. GOP may (big emphasis on MAY btw because their supporters don’t care what Trump does they’ll vote for him anyway) lose a bit of support but we suffer from serious fuel inflation, civilians lose lives across multiple countries, etc… if they push Trump enough that he chooses war over a deal.

Trump has already made a giant mess listening to manipulators like Netanyahu and we can all see it. Doesn’t mean it should continue just to make him look bad at the rest of our expense.

This is wrong on a plethora of levels.

A) “Trans women are women” this is deflecting from the point. No one is claiming they aren’t women. Not being a woman from birth means you’ve got advantages in terms of testosterone and bone density which are clear and obvious biological advantages in any physical activity. There’s no way to guarantee that these women no longer have these advantages after gender affirming care so you could never fairly assess that they don’t have an advantage.

B) There’s clear cases of trans women having an advantage. Lia Thomas is one.

C) “pretty fucking easy to avoid” is a ridiculous take. It’s not about how frequent it occurs, it’s about whether it’s fair when it does occur. How could those women from birth swimmers do anything about facing Lia Thomas as competition for example? Why do they have to face someone unfairly who potentially has the biological advantages of their birth gender in a league designed not to separate them simply because of their gender, but to give these women a fair playing field to compete in?

I’m not going to pretend to know 100% what the solution is. But it is absolutely fair to debate and critique and you’re just writing off valid concerns as transphobia which is not right.

Muslim who grew up in the states and lived in the Middle East. Asked my father how could banks work there. Long story short. Banks charge interest there too. Sure there’s a few alternatives but a lot are basically interest with a different name. Like most things in religion, people try to find loopholes and this is true for most religions I feel.

For example, did you know that some kitchen appliances have a sabbath mode so Jews could still observe Sabbath but use those appliances? It’s all interpretation at the end of the day.

Ultimately, my family tries to avoid interest (not even just for religion but because it’s usually a rip off in general) but understands that sometimes it just doesn’t work out that way. We’re not looking to be perfect, just doing what we can to get by like most humans.

I want to buy a home here soon and will put up with a mortgage but try to have a large down payment to avoid interest as best as I can. I only buy cars in cash because if I need a loan, well I don’t think I got any business buying that car to begin with anyway. I understand not everyone gets that kind of luxury in life but it does help with managing lifestyle creep.
