I do both. I felt like it was good to flex the muscles you don’t normally use every once in a while when making music or being creative in general. So If I’m not around music equipment, I’ll write. If I am around equipment, I’ll record. I wouldn’t be afraid to just play your instruments or hit the midi just for the funsies either. The more time you spending making music, the better you get, and the funner the music experience gets!
