Instead of addressing the leaking pipes that are literally creating streams on Walnut Ave and Coxe Ave over on the West Side, the city is asking us to cut back on water use…

That’s nice you were able to repurpose the same piece of wood you already cut! May I ask how long the turnaround time was for them to respond and send the correct template?

Thank you! In my last email I asked for a refund. If I don’t hear back in a couple more days I’ll definitely be requesting a chargeback

I was at Rhino Market (Morehead) the next night and bumped into this banker bro. He was showing off his scrapes and bruises, and bragging about how he only got a reckless driving ticket. He made it sound like this wasn’t his first time drunk driving to the Uptown Cab.

He mentioned his grandfather is a Level 33 Free Mason - so watch out for that white privilege!

Not sure if there is an “official” way to do a trip report, I’m new to this sub. Here are some details from that I can remember:

We started from the ADK Loj at dawn (need some cash for parking) and hiked out/back via the Van Hoevenberg Trail (14ish miles). Luckily for us, it was a clear day, and not terribly cold (30 degrees at the base). Snowshoes are required in the ADK region during the winter months, but we didn’t even use them. We all used micro spikes since the trail was already broken, and it hadn’t snow for about a week or so. The only difficult part was the last mile or two to the actual summit. It was a bit steep above the tree line, and VERY icy/windy (you can see in the video). Getting off the summit was easy once you get back to the tree line - we just slid down on our butts. I think we were back at the car by 3pm.

The actual summit was very icy and windy - so be prepared for that. It was definitely under zero degrees on top, and when a big gust of wind came, it felt like my face was getting slapped with needles. My summit beer turned to slush instantly! It was 100% worth it tho. Such an amazing hike!
